Ms. Eng is wonderful! She works on Royal Conservatory of Music material but covers theory and other pieces as well. The balance between learning piano as a passion and learning piano for an exam is well maintained. She also adds history and general knowledge about instruments to help students put themselves in the era of the composers to really get a feel for the piece.

Linda knows the best for each student of hers and has the best system of improvement for each student. Having two kids with Linda, one starting as a beginner and the other starting with past experience, I have seen great improvement in the way they both play. Not only that but Linda is on top of it when it comes to communication with her students. After 3 rounds of piano teachers, we haven’t once thought of switching when we settled with Linda.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the first lesson, I will ask you to tell me a little bit about your own goals and musical interests. From there I will select the best quality materials for you and you will know what to expect from every lesson, as well as what to practice during the week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm an experienced stage performer in both voice and piano with a bachelor's degree in music education and a master's in education. I've been performing with a local band for the last 10 years!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you hire a music teacher who has a college music degree, who can explain techniques in many effective ways. Hire a music teacher who is warm and makes you feel at ease!
