    Connect2 Marriage Counseling

    (2 reviews)

We focus on couples. I hand-pick out of all the therapists in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. Our therapists get extra training in couples work. This is our sweet spot. The result is happier couples. We also see individuals, families, teens, kids, and co-founders. That's because you've asked for these services. Our therapists speak a variety of languages in addition to English: French, Italian, German, Mandarin, Hebrew, Cantonese, Hindi, and Bengali. When couples look at each other with love; when they are able to relax into one another. We get to be part of that. I look at it as dropping a pebble in a pond. The ripples go out to the couple's family, friends, work, the community, etc. We get the chance to participate in a compassionate way in a very intimate part of your life -- and help make it better. All of us know where we are in the therapy process by following the four stages of competency: unconscious incompetent, conscious incompetent, conscious competent, unconscious competent.

  • East West Psychotherapy

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults as well as couples and/or family counseling. My work is inspired by my dedication and passion for understanding human psychology drawing from a variety of sources, including a cutting-edge theory from Western science and ancient wisdom teachings from the East. My approach with individuals, couples, and families is engaging, warm, and compassionate. I hold a wide capacity for listening and understanding each person's unique experiences and offering gentle or firm guidance where it is called for. I use a number of methods and practices to inquire and explore psychological challenges in sessions and also teach clients things they can do on their own to support their psychological growth.

Weddings by Rev. Dr. Illana Berger are custom designed, non-denominational ceremonies designed and performed with generosity, grace, and joy! My services include the following: - Creating and officiating ceremonies - Consulting - Marriage counseling Your wedding is a very special time. In every wedding, your ideas, dreams and personal traditions are honored and woven into the ceremony we design together. I endeavor to design a ceremony that is meaningful, personal and inclusive of the elements that will make your wedding ceremony memorable to you, your family and friends. I perform every ceremony as if it were the first, last and only ceremony I will ever perform. Every couple I serve deserves to have an extraordinary and memorable wedding that holds the space for the promises of love and commitment that you are making to one another. It is an honor to be chosen by you to share in such an intimate moment. It is important for me to create a feeling of warmth, intimacy and enchantment! I will bring knowledge, inspiration and diverse ideas to the creation of your ceremony so it is a sincere expression of your unique relationship and the words spoken will reflect your style and what is in your hearts. I begin by offering a complimentary, in-person or via phone (if you are out of the area) consultation to meet, connect and to begin to design your ideal wedding ceremony. In this meeting, I have three goals which includes the following: - My first goal is for us to get to know each other and see if we connect. Your ceremony is one of the most significant moments in your life and it is important to have an officiant with whom you feel there is a connection, that you feel comfortable and safe with, and someone that cares about you. - My second goal is that we discuss your ceremony ideas. You may have many ideas, or none at all. You may have traditions or something you have seen someone else do; whatever it is, I will take time to explore your personal feelings about the ceremony and together, we will choose a direction and tone for your ceremony. - My third goal is to bring ceremony ideas for you to consider. Together we will find examples of material that will be appropriate for you which is a starting point in creating your ceremony and helping you to see what is possible. Often, we discover together new ideas or directions that you may not have previously considered. At the end of this meeting, you will have a very clear idea of what is possible and a feel for your wedding ceremony. In addition to weddings, I also offer services for the following: - Partnership blessings - Commitment ceremonies - House blessings - Young adult rites of passage - Memorial ceremonies - Divorce ceremonies - Premarital and relationship counseling - Vow renewal - Family blending ceremonies I serve the Central Coast and Bay Area, and will travel to a destination you choose! I am a multi-faith and interfaith minister licensed to officiate weddings. The couples I work with are as diverse as our world is. Many are from different faith traditions, different cultures or just want to include diverse rituals in their ceremony. Most couples want to find a common spiritual foundation on which to celebrate this joyous life passage. You may find that you are simply looking for a unique, creative way to express your love for, and commitment to one another. I partner with you to create a very personal and meaningful ceremony. Many of the ceremonies I officiate use little of the language, music, or visual symbols of a "traditional" wedding, and instead bring a creatively unique approach to the ceremony. I work a great deal with same-gender couples and am honored to support this special and wonderful union and commitment. In all instances, I work together with you to craft a simple and beautiful ceremony which blends your vision with my expertise. Visit my website for rates and more information. The following are special features to consider for your ceremony: - Blanket ceremony - Tree planting ceremony - Vase ceremony - Seven blessings - Circle of life - Candle ritual - Seven steps - Creating sacred space - Calling the ancestors - Shofar ritual

  • Dr. jKonradHole-Relationship Strategist/Transition Coach

I am a spiritual leader/teacher, a life architect, a leadership mentor, a relationship counselor, a professional mediator, a parenting coordinator and an author. I hold both a master's and doctorate in theological studies and religious theology with my minor in conflict resolution from Logos University in Jacksonville, Florida. I am an ongoing participant in the furthering education program of dispute resolution at The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. I have also completed California State accredited courses in mediation, divorce mediation and parenting coordination from The Northern California Mediation Center in Marin County, California. I am also an active member of The American Counseling Association. Those are just my degrees; really, I am just a straightforward, mouthy, impatient, and politically incorrect South Jersey boy who wakes up every morning to make the individual life in transition, the couple standing at the crossroads, or the shared family in unchartered waters feel like they have a chance -- that life can be about rewriting history, not repaying the past. B does not always have to come after A; some days it is the difference between the decisions for where we want to be versus the discovery that life has made it obvious where we can no longer stay. I work to reconcile, readjust, reevaluate, disrupt, navigate, negotiate, dislodge and stretch what brings you to your most effective self. I help change the rules that can facilitate the kind of life you want to live. I do this for soccer moms, single dads, and everyday people in conflict as well as rock stars, a list of professionals, CEOs and small business owners. Most of all, no one will ever know whom I do this for because aside from the raw strategical wisdom I give also comes the discretion and anonymity that I give. I don't have to name-drop to get clients or sound impressive at parties. There are no pictures of famous clients on my walls. I mean, what is change anyway? Change is not hard; trying to sell nonsense is hard. There is no being good at change; there is only refusing to not be good at being stuck, idle or inferior. The only hypocrisy humans ever live is the desire for things greater than the changes we are willing to make to get them. It is not a matter of can I or can't I but only a matter of will I or won't I? It is about changing participation with what is outdated, expired or disruptive. It is about giving my heart to something rather than just giving away my power. That means there is no struggle with change; the only struggle is with accepting what I can no longer do the same way in the same moments. It is when my sentences can begin with "I" instead of "they and you." I am not here to fix you; you don't need fixing anyway. You only need to be in the driver's seat of your own freedom. I don't do charity. I do capability. I am not after people with needs; I am after people with nothing to lose. I fight for the people who will fight for something bigger than just themselves. I do not ask questions like "What do you need?" I ask the question "What can you do?" I do not care what your beliefs are; I only want to know what you are willing to do to go outside of what has always been in order to live what is waiting to be. I am simply the person who speaks to your life path right now. -- JK
