Conn initially came to our house to scope a project for cabinet refacing/replacement, and he was fantastic to work with - very detail oriented, took the time to walk through all options with us, and had great suggestions. Plus, his quote was very reasonable. In the end, we had some things change with our budget and couldn't do the full project as planned. However, we liked Conn a lot and ended up hiring him to do a smaller project for us (installing some dog doors and doing some other door work). Conn is a perfectionist and really takes the time to make things beautiful. Rather than just sticking a dog door in, he made us a new panel for the door, new trim, etc - the end result looks better than before the dog door was installed! Conn is easy to work with, trustworthy, has reasonable rates, and does beautiful work. Once our budget allows us to do more I hope to work with Conn to create a built in desk for our office and some other custom wood work.

Conn was excellent. He re-worked out cabinets and they turned out great. We will definitely use him again. He is a great listener and looks for solutions and finds them. His work is very high quality and well worth every cent. Great guy.

Conn helped us with a tricky built-in cabinet and shelving project. Conn's work is impeccable. He takes great care with his work and clearly draws on a great deal of carpentry experience. Conn is also efficient and trustworthy: I felt completely comfortable having him in our house while we were at work. Finally, Conn has a reliable network of other painters, builders, etc. in case he needs to delegate a task to a specialist. I am so thankful we've found a carpenter like Conn in the bay area.

I asked Conn to help me disassemble a huge armoire so I could move it around a tight corner and then reassemble it. Conn did an awesome job. He assessed the situation, carefully took the delicate moldings off (even though they were glued and nailed) disassembled only as much as was necessary, and reassembled and replaced the moldings perfectly. He even added touch up putty that he took care to match color-wise as well as possible. All this and he did it on a weekend, quickly, and with an awesome attitude.

I usually like to meet the client first. I go over the needs of their project with them. After that , I give them a proposal on what exactly I will do, and the relative costs, as well as timing and schedule.
