FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually offer a $10 per class discount when a student books three or more sessions. So if you are looking for one-on-one instruction at your location ($85 for an hour) and you book one session a week for three weeks, you would only pay $225. If I need to find a location for lessons, that usually means paying to use space at a yoga studio or community center, and that cost would be in addtion to my fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to find out what a customer is looking to gain from yoga. Do you want to be more flexible? Develop more strength or endurance? Learn how to relax? Combat PTSD symptoms? Complement the effects of a physical hobby, like running or golf? Become more accepting of your body? Then, after the first few sessions, I begin to see what the customer may actually NEED without knowing — relief from tight hips or hamstrings, more confidence in themselves, permission to relax and let go. I’m always looking to make each class more targeted to what the individual wants and needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my RYT-200 (Registered Yoga Teacher, 200 hour level) in 2012 at Holy Cow Yoga Center in Charleston, South Carolina, under the direction of Trace Sahaja Bonner. I am registered with Integral Yoga Teachers Association and have been teaching individual and group lessons consistently for over four years.
