FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! We often refresh ourselves with dog behavior/training books. If a client informs us about any little behavior issues, i am sure to do some research before and after we meet the dog. Being well informed when working with animals is a top priority.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Both Hugh and i love animals. We feel a special bond with dogs and enjoy being connected with nature. But starting a dog walking business really just fell in our lap. We had been in the service industry for a very long time and both were ready for a positive change. We met and apprenticed with another dog walker whom encouraged us to provide this service in our neighborhood. Because it is rewarding to help working/busy families and their pets, we knew this was the job for us!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We often provide group walks for most clients. We also have helped dog behavior by implementing training skills, commands and tools during our walks. Although we are not technically dog trainers, we dedicate time to learning more about what we can do to help correct your pet while they're in our care. We also help with dog socialization.
