I was locked out of my computer with the message "BITLOCKER RECOVERY...Enter the Recovery Key". I had no idea what this was. I took the computer to Geeks On Site at our local Best Buy. I worked with a gentleman named Noah who was very helpful and very talented. I learned that Bitlocker was an advanced security system that Microsoft has installed. After going back and forth doing 2nd level security checks to verify who I was, we were able to receive the "Key" and get my computer back in working order. The recovery key was 48 characters long. Talk about overkill!!!!Thank you Noah. But I was unable to get an explanation of what triggered this event. So it's still a mystery.
