Did a great job! I needed a very large ceiling area painted, and they were not only highly responsive but accomplished the project fast for a fair price and with excellent quality. The painters were also very polite, covered everything, and took great care to keep my house clean. Will definitely hire again.

Very good communication with Pedros, on time and quick to respond always. Starting out first day power washer broke, no work that day. After that seemed like the project (painting exterior) was in a bit of a hurry, as expected. Painting got done by Pedro and his helper. When clean up touch up and walk through came, Pedro's helper went to Russia for two weeks leaving Pedro alone with no other helper. I had changed a color on a couple doors so Pedro had to make time to get that done hurriedly so some minor areas were overlooked (he had to go to another job). I understand that this is a hard business to find employees. This is not a team of workers. I did appreciate Pedros expertise in recognizing dry rot and repair.

Shawn and his crew were amazing from start to finish. What should have been a simple job for them, painting the exterior that had new siding, turned into a series of complications and set backs caused by the contractor who installed the siding. During those five weeks Shawn was extremely understanding of my unfortunate situation with the building contractor and he was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my home had no loose ends left behind by the person who installed my siding. His prices are extremely reasonable, even when we had to expand the scope of work to include extra work that the builder left undone. Shawn and his crew take pride in their work and take great care of their customers. Had they not been covered in paint when they completed the job I would have hugged them!

We had Mark and his team pain the outside of our home. We had to replace some of the siding on the home but after the painting you could not tell the old siding from the new. The whole house looks new again, and its 30 years old. We could not be happier!!!

I could not have been more impressed with Westworld Painting! Our entire experience was so great, it’s hard to know where to start. Chad, the owner, was a delight to work with. He was always on time and very professional. We appreciated the time he took to meet with us in the planning process. Chad has a lot of common sense and is very down-to-earth and kind. It was apparent from the start that he values his customers and wants them to be 100% happy with their work. He gave us helpful tips on how to pick a color we would love for the exterior of our house. He also came by on a Saturday to paint a couple samples on our house that I couldn’t decide between. In fact, we saw Chad numerous times from start to finish. He stayed in touch often through texts, phone calls and visits. Before the actual paint job, he brought his painter, Alfredo, to our house to go over everything. Alfredo was always so friendly and easy to talk to. I always felt safe while at home with him painting while my husband was at work. Alfredo was also always on time, and the one day they knew they would be a little late, they called to let us know. Alfredo always kept me in the loop of what he was going to be working on each day. He always explained things without me asking questions. I appreciated this. For example, one day they focused on finishing the back and one side of the house (Painting the body AND trim) instead of painting the entire body of the house first. He explained about the rising temperatures of the weather and how they don’t like to leave the tape on for a certain amount of time over a certain temperature. Again, quality work here... love it! The paint job was flawless and we are beyond happy with the attention to detail and how clean they kept everything too! All of our friends and neighbors are asking for our painter’s information because they love how our house has turned out. We’ve even had a couple people we didn’t know pull up to our house asking who painted it (that was before Chad put up his sign in our yard.) We had a few estimates from other painters and one thing that made Chad stand out was his attention to detail. The other estimates we had, the painters stated that they just pressure wash the house. Well, Westworld Painting takes it a step above pressure washing. They sand down the facia boards so that they know their paint will adhere to the wood better. They also filled in any cracks we had and painted the trim around our windows to wrap all the way around, instead of just the front of it like our previous paint job had. That made a huge difference in the look of our windows! Overall, it was a no brainer that we were going to go with Chad at Westworld Painting and we are so glad we did!

Talk about Johnny onthe spot. (Pun Intended) This guy came to our rescue - we needed a painter (on a Sunday) and he through. No Problems, very nice, stayed until the job was done. I might add that he has also (now) done some work (Pro-Bono) for the Local Little League. What an Awesome Person, Thanks Johnny

It gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation letter on behalf of Equinox. I own two rental properties in the cities of Napa and American Canyon. Last year, Equinox repaired my property in Napa. This job included the painting of the exterior of the building made of stucco and wood. Equinox performed exceptionally well and went above and beyond by making sure that work was completed to my satisfaction (on time and within budget). Additionally, Equinox worked diligently in repairing a wooden deck and an iron bridge that connects the deck to the patio. After the work was done, the house recovered its luster and beauty! Equinox painted the exterior of my second property in American Canyon. This building is made up mostly of stucco. They power washed the exteriors, replaced the wooden frames of front windows, performed detailed repairs around the walls where they found cracks and other minor things. I was very impressed with the final result. I was very satisfied with their performance. The house recovered its original beauty! Equinox's personnel is detailed oriented, dependable and trustworthy. They are my first choice whenever I need a job to be done right the first time. If you have questions or need to speak with me, please feel free to call me.

Ive never had a more professional painter. He was very patient and explained everything to me before starting his unbelievable work. The best part if it all was the price. I had 3 or 4 painters to give me a bid and he was the cheapest by far. Just revolutionary. I will definitely be calling Jim again and passing his information along to everyone.

Allan painted the inside and outside of my home over 1 year ago. His workmanship is excellent and he always showed up until the job was done. He cleaned the site daily. He will help you choose coordinating colors that are appropriate. I can't say enough about his work. If you are going to hire a painter he is worth the money spent.

        Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

        How much do painters cost?

The national average cost for an interior painter ranges between $450 and $900. Interior painters can tackle everything from complete color makeovers in each of your rooms to touching up an accent wall to painting pieces of furniture. The square footage and complexity of the project, along with the materials needed, are the main factors that will affect cost. Other factors include whether you supply the paint yourself or want the painter to do so, whether you move the furniture and do the prep work or ask them to do it, and whether any repair work is needed on the walls. Painting the ceiling and the trim will also have an effect on cost. The type of paint you choose can also raise or lower your house painting cost. A gallon of paint may range from $20 to over $100, depending on quality and brand. Ask your painter if they charge per hour or per square foot, and how much you can save by doing prep work (moving furniture, etc.) yourself.

How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $200 to $2,500. The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted. Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. In one area pros might charge 50 cents per linear foot to paint baseboards, while pros in another part of the country could charge $1.50 per linear foot for the same task. Painters may charge flat rates for painting door and window frames, with one charging $20-$25 and another $60 per door. Geography and regional costs to do business play a major role in the cost of interior painting. The same painter in a rural region has less to pay in taxes, transportation, insurance and overhead than they would in a major city like New York.

How much does a painter charge per room?

The cost to paint a room will vary based on the size of the room, the type of paint you select, any ceiling or trim work needed, and any repairs needed. If no repairs or other additional work is needed, painting a room with contractor-grade paint could range from $1 to $2 per square foot, including materials. Selecting a luxury paint (some cost more than $100 per gallon) will certainly increase your house painting costs. Here are some additional examples of average house painting costs, per room:

        • 12x12 room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $125
        • 12x12 room with an 8-foot ceiling: about $100
        • 14x16 master bedroom with a 9-foot ceiling: about $150
        • 14x16 master bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling: about $125
        • 16x16 living room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $175
        • 16x16 living room with a 20-foot ceiling: starting at $225
