Introduction: I have a C-15 (floor covering specialty) and Class B license (general contracting and handyman). I was in a structured apprenticeship program installing all types of flooring, including commercial/residential vinyl, carpet, hardwood flooring installation and sanding/finishing. I've been a Journeyman for 35+ years. If you've been in a Kaiser, Sutter, or Mercy Medical facility, you've probably walked on flooring I've installed.
I've worked all phases, from the Bechtel home to many buildings in the financial district of San Francisco and from the Mondavi Center in Davis to Kaiser hospitals in all areas.
I have 40 years of experience and am retired.
My experience includes completely refurbished five multistory homes in San Carlos and San Bruno and three in San Francisco and all of the Bay Area. My experience includes Architectural Drawings for all the permits, foundation, carpentry, drywall, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work (including service panels and subpanels), doors, windows, roofing, siding, multilevel decks, staircases, and painting.
I'm hands-on with everything. All is inspected, if necessary. Some repairs need no inspections or permits.
Update 2/2/2015. After being skeptical about the site, I'm now convinced this is a good site. I've just reactivated my license and bond for 2 specific jobs. Glad I found Thumbtack. I can email or send by phone a pic of my State receipts to any interested potential clients. The folks at the State Contractor's License Board said that the state website won't be updated for as much as 9 days. :^/
