Dealing with the office people, our designer Liz, the salesman Bob was very poor. We had to sign a contract for the work but the first contract did not even have our correct address on it for the construction site. Some address in Granite Bay was listed. And paying cash was like pulling teeth. When the work did start, Jorge and his team were awesome to deal with. Jorge answered all of our concerns very professionally. If I could have hired Jorge and his crew for the work and skipped Black Diamond I would have. Bob our salesman and Jorge showed up on Friday to do a final walkthru and adressed our needs . The following Monday 8/24/2020 work started. Jorge and his team of 2 other men completed the landscaping in 1 day when Bob said it would take 3 days. A portapotty was delivered that morning. Final payment was made on 8/26/2020 and at that time we informed Liz that the portapotty was still at our house. She assured us it would be picked up. The portapotty was being used now by every delivery driver and other landscapers that comes to our area. I called and spoke to Black Diamond office on 8/27/2020 and informed them that the portapotty was still here and starting to smell. I also talked to Bob that afternoon about it as well. As of this writing 8/28/2020 the portapotty has not been removed. I called and spoke to Liz on 8/28/2020 and she informed me it would take 3-5 business days to remove. I told her that was unacceptable and I would make a call to her boss if it was here over the weekend. She said thank you and hung up. Jorge and his crew were awesome but the people i dealt with at Black Diamond were not.Update 9/1/2020... We appreciate the responsiveness of Roger (owner) and the Black Diamond family in addressing the issue about the portapotty, which was eventually picked up on 8/28/2020. We would like to thank Liz for bringing a gorgeous plant to make up for the miscommunication about the portapotty. Bottom line, our front lawn is beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Again, thank you Jorge and team for making this happen in one day. We are in awe how quick this project was completed.

After getting at least 5 bids ranging from what I'd describe as "econo companies" to "high end" companies. I landed on Black Diamond primarily due to my initial contact with Tony Baumgartner. He was very genuine and didn't try to BS me as some of his competitors had. I felt the price was fair considering Black Diamond is a long established company with a great reputation and I knew they would be accountable. Once the project started, I found Tony to be more concerned about many aspects of the build than I was. He was on site A LOT (over a 2+ month build) and walking the project to correct any potential errors. We spoke often and worked thru MANY changes as it came to life. Tony always encouraged the changes (and suggested some others). He constantly repeated that changes were not a problem because his goal was to be certain we were happy with the final product. The crews were ALL completely respectful of our space and were very pleasant to interact with (even when I was bugging them). In closing, we are very pleased with the end product and will definitely be going back to Black Diamond for a future front yard project. (Pics attached- Plants coming later. Light poles temporary)

I highly recommend Eric W., a Project Design Specialist, for all your hardscape and landscape needs!I needed a company to help me with a backyard design, which includes paver patio, artificial and putting green turf, a stone bench (wall), and some landscaping around the fence. I already had some existing stamped concrete patio done several years ago and I am finally ready to complete my design!I contacted 2 other companies in the area first. One was OK and the other one never have gotten back to me with a quote. So, I contacted Black Diamond, upon my friend's recommendation.Eric W. came right on time, wearing a mask (still COVID times!), and asked if he should go around the house through the side gate to access my backyard. I explained to him what I wanted and he gave me some ideas which I really loved and thought were better compared to the recommendations I got from other companies. After he took the measurements, I was sure he would leave and get back to me later, but he took out his sketch paper and started drafting the design we discussed on the spot! Then, he walked through my yard and showed me exactly what it would look like, which helped a lot, since it's easier to imagine something on the real thing rather than on paper.After I approved the design, I expected him to leave again, but he actually took out his laptop and plugged in all the numbers on the spot and gave me a quote! Unfortunately, the quote did not match what I was budgeting to spend on this specific project (I didn't want to reveal my budget until after I heard the quote), but no worries! We brainstormed together about the ways to adjust the design and make it all work for me!Eric was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He explained what was needed and why and addressed all of my questions and concerns, and pointed out a few things I didn't even think about, because I am not a designer!By the end of the day on Tuesday, as promised, I received a copy of the design via text, and a copy of ready to sign Contract with all the details! Of course, I reviewed it for errors and I had a few more questions, so we exchanged emails and text messages and once everything was agreed upon, I signed the contract the following Thursday!The work is scheduled to commence in mid-July, since they are booked way in advance, and I cannot wait to get my backyard done, but I am trying to be patient because Eric assured me, he would come to oversee everything!While one of the other company's representative was professional as well, Eric went above and beyond to make sure I am happy with the design AND most importantly the price! He understands that customers don't like to wait, so he makes sure that everything is done in a timely manner and he always keeps his word!I will be recommending his services to all my friends and neighbors! And I'll return here in July/August to post the update after the work is done!

From the moment Julie M. assessed my yard and translated my vision of a dream landscape into reality, she has consistently exceeded my expectations. Other companies that bid on this job possessed neither the expertise or timeliness that Julie has consistently provided from Day One. Her professionalism and drive have been especially appreciated in light of all the pandemic induced obstacles that would have stopped a lesser person in their tracks.Julie's design and dedication to ensuring everything is done well has totally transformed my yard into a beautiful space. I now have room to entertain, space for my dog to play ball, and lush landscape that I can easily maintain. I cannot recommend Black Diamond Pavers, or Julie, highly enough.

I was impressed with Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape from day one. Tony and Bob both came to see my backyard on their first visit, and together they took my vision, and turned it to reality. They were the only contractor that were willing to design, and provide me a rendering, plus a video showing what it would look like once it's completed. It was an extreme makeover of my backyard; demolished the entire yard, added a pool, pergola, fire pit, BBQ island, new landscapes and lights, and replaced all the concrete with pavers. My project was completed in June of 2021, just in time for the summer. We were planning to travel this summer after being isolated for 15 months from COVID, but we love our backyard so much now that we decided to stay home, and enjoy our staycation right in our backyard.
