- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I really enjoy working with new clients! Before each makeup appointment, I always prefer to conduct a brief phone consultation (prior to meeting face to face). Our first consultation can be conducted via phone call or Zoom (video chat).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first started my journey in the beauty industry in 2014 while working for Fashion Fair Cosmetics, in Macy’s (Arden Fair Mall). While working for Fashion Fair Cosmetics, this gave me the confidence to venture out & explore the various avenues of the beauty/cosmetics industry. I began freelancing, meeting & working other professionals in the industry, such as photographers, models, fellow makeup artists, wardrobe stylists & so much more. I’ve developed an impressive resume for myself and I’m forever learning & growing.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Research, research, research! Gain as much knowledge as possible, from: makeup application, professionalism, cost of makeup, average rates for professional makeup artistry (in California or your current location). If you are someone who loves makeup & applying makeup to yourself and others, please look into taking a beginner or intermediate class with an Artist that you trust and look up to. I provide group and 1:1 makeup training courses.
