About
American Building Development (ABD) is a licensed California contractor specializing in exterior remodeling across the Sacramento area - siding, decks, roofing, patio covers and pergolas, and windows.
We're a certified installer for the brands we work with: James Hardie siding, Trex composite decking (TrexPro Gold), and GAF roofing. That certification matters to you - it means factory-backed warranties and installation done to manufacturer spec, not shortcuts.
Most of our work is full exterior projects for homeowners and commercial properties, managed end to end. You get one detailed proposal, one point of contact, and a clear schedule before we start.
We've completed thousands of projects and hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Message us for a free consultation and estimate.

I was initially nervous about selecting a contractor to build our deck because I didn't have a good vision of its design, concerned about cost and staying on budget, concerned what company would do good work, and be trustworthy throughout the whole process. After extensive research I found ABD. Those concerns were squelched because ABD was professional, hard working, clean, communicative, and attentive. We stayed within our budget and absolutely love our deck. I plan on having them back to do other projects.

Our deck was rotting out and on its way down! Andrei came out to our home to quote the job, reasonably I might add. Great customer service and understood that we wanted to make it safe for our kids and family without breaking the bank. Kevin and Edgar showed up to do the work and they did an incredible job. They were professional, efficient, very knowledgeable, and very polite! I'm having them quote my upper deck as well as we are very happy and greatful for the work and customer service they provided. Thank you to the crew.
American Building Development's reply

ABD was professional from the start to the finish. The crew that replaced our deck worked hard every day they were at our house. Cleaning up every day before leaving. Would definitely work with them again.

Taras was amazing!! He is extremely hard working and pays great attention to detail. He does all the little things that most people would work over. He is polite and very conscious of our needs. If I could, I would have given him a HUGE tip!! He deserved it!
American Building Development's reply
We appreciate your fantastic review, Dave. It means a lot to hear Taras's hard work, attention to detail and thoughtfulness made such an impression. We will be sure to pass your praise along to him.
FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At American Building Development, we believe in transparent, no-pressure pricing. Every project starts with a free estimate no hidden fees, no surprises. Our pricing reflects the quality of the materials we use, including premium products like James Hardie siding and Trex decking, and the workmanship our licensed team delivers. We work with both residential and commercial budgets, and we always walk you through the costs before any work begins. We also offer flexible financing options to make your project more accessible, so you don't have to put your home improvement goals on hold. From siding and roofing to deck building, patio covers, and window installation, we offer competitive rates across all of our services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a simple phone call. Once we connect, we schedule an on-site appointment with one of our Project Advisors, who will assess your property, walk you through your material options including James Hardie siding and Trex decking and provide a clear, detailed quote with no pressure. Once you're ready to move forward, you sign the contract and we typically get started within 2 to 3 days, depending on the scope of the project and whether permits are required. Before work begins, our team does a full walkthrough of the site to make sure everything is in order. When the project is complete, our project manager personally reviews the finished work with you to confirm everything meets your expectations. And we don't stop there every project comes with a 5-year labor warranty (repair projects are covered by a separate 1-year warranty) for your peace of mind.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team is fully licensed and trained in exterior remodeling across California Contractor License #1060736.
