I am a 48 year old male. In the last 10 years, I tore my meniscus, fractured two vertebrae and herniated two discs, culminating in spinal neurosurgery in 2004. Unable to do my regular exercises, I gained about 60 pounds, had high cholesterol and developed diabetes. I tried physical therapy with two different providers, yoga, massage therapy and worked with a nutritionist. Nothing truly helped despite my efforts and at best, I stopped getting worse. Or so I thought. When I found Steve, his positive attitude was encouraging. The fact that he came to my home and charged a very reasonable rate was incredible. Steve evaluated my condition and he started out simply by helping me stretch. Nobody ever helped me do this. He reviewed my diet and my prescribed meds and suggested several supplements which, upon approval by my physician, I began to take. In the seven weeks I have been working with Steve, I have lost 20 pounds, changed my diet, increased my strength and endurance and our sessions have become incrementally more strenuous. I have not felt this good in years. Steve might not have saved my life, but he has given me more reason to keep living and working than any of the other professionals I have engaged in the past 10 years. Don't waste your money on a gym membership or a treadmill. Steve gets results. I am not usually evangelical about anything. This guy will help you if you are serious about getting better. My highest recommendation. Thank you Steve.

Steve was born to train. Throughout my life, it was always a challenge for me to stick with a particular discipline - and I rarely did. Presently, I've been training with Steve approximately a year and a half. I not only find it easy to commit to the training, I honestly look forward to it. Steve inherently knows what works successfully for one person, may not for another. For me, he knew the key was to tailor my workouts to suit my personality. We consistently changed my routines and environment. I love the outdoors, so we took our cross-training to beautiful trails, parks, and beaches. An association with what I most enjoyed was now defined with exercise - and it made all the difference. Steve is naturally gifted to build from the inside out. He'll educate not only on a physical level, but also an emotional one - getting the results at his client's pace. Above all, Steve exercises loyalty to see you through to your desired goal, and I'm soon to reach mine.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Through the advice of a friend who was working in the health and fitness industry. I have no regrets about becoming a trainer. I am very passionate about what I do.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask for existing client references and how long they have been working in the fitness industry..

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Many people have the wrong impression about the amount of time needed to spend on exercise to see great results. Two to three forty to fifty minute training sessions and two thirty minute cardio sessions a week is sufficient to produce very positive and satisfying results.
