- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified Interior Designers are required to "Educational Credits" every year. Ongoing education keeps up updated on the latest code and safety requirements, Color and design trends, Lighting design, state of the art products. I have over 200 hours in continuing education.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most complicated interior design are Kitchen and Bathrooms. National and local Building Departments require numerous codes, including; electrical, plumbing, lighting, safety codes that must be meet to pass inspections. Not pulling a permit down the line can cost homeowner thousands of dollars in fines and tear outs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Define your vision for your new space. Establish a budget that is realistic. If you can't do one or both of these things, hire a professional with experience. An NKBA Certified Designer has 4 years of schooling and 3 years internship prior to taking the National Certification Tests. That's 7 years of knowledge and experience to help you.
