Introduction

I am passionate about giving my students the tools needed to build confidence and to act with ease and grace. I hope to inspire all to find the joy in acting and the beauty of the arts. I am a graduate from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and have a BFA in Drama. Studied under Jordan Klepper, Will Hines, Julie Brister and more at the Upright Citizens Brigade for improv in New York and Los Angeles. Other training: Ann Dowd coaching, CAP21, Atlantic Acting School, Stonestreet, Lesly Kahn and John Rosenfeld Studios. I have performed and acted in New York City, National commercials, television, and film. Also, I have worked at film and television studios to better understand the business of entertainment. I am actively teaching acting and auditioning to my clients. And I am also working as an actress! I love the craft of acting and I hope to share my techniques with you.

LaVon is a joy to work with! After experiencing some nearly toxic coaching (like many other LA based actors may have gone through) LaVon is a true breath of fresh air. She’s down to earth, so knowledgeable and seriously an incredible coach & person. She gives clear and effective insight, fosters creativity, and puts you at ease. LaVon is the real deal. She is a fantastic comedian and a professional actress with a directors eye. She sees the full picture. I have had the pleasure of working with LaVon on comedy sketches as well as Improv. LaVon has a great passion for directing and works hard for everyone. She is very well trained and has a great deal of compassion for the stage and for performers. Her long history with professionalism also makes her the ideal scene partner or director. LaVon is extremely organized and thoughtful.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am happy to work with each student on pricing and I offer packages of five and ten class series.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with understanding and learning my students' goals. We will work on acting exercises and games to assess experience level. From there, we will work on cold reads, scene study, auditions and technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Advanced improv training from UCB
