I’m a Southern California based Performer and Music Educator. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts in 2019 with a degree in Performance with a concentration in Contemporary Guitar. I was also given the Emily Remler Award in 2018 for Outstanding Achievement by the Berklee Guitar Department and currently reside in the San Diego area. As of August of 2023 I graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters of Music with a concentration in Music Education. I’m very passionate about teaching as well as performance. I run my own teaching business during the day, and during the evenings you can find me performing!
I spend a lot of time learning and studying a wide variety of genres to be as versatile as possible. I’m also an educator, and give private instruction all around San Diego County. 📚

My two boys (16 and 18) have been taking guitar and bass lessons with Dylan for 4 years now. They have had a few other music teachers in the past, however, Dylan has been their absolute favorite.
He makes lessons fun and engaging. He teaches fundamentals of music theory and how to apply them. He has so much energy and love for music and teaches music in a way that is easy to understand and learn. He gives the boys weekly assignments, and I can hear them continually learning and getting more creative. They have a lot of fun jam sessions together and always sound amazing.
They have advanced tremendously with Dylan as their music teacher and are still learning new things! I would also like to add that with Dylan as their music teacher, the boys have won the Battle of the Bands two years in a row at their high school!

Dylan has been an absolute dream of a piano/guitar teacher. The kids began with almost no music knowledge and now they love to play/practice. Sometimes when they're supposed to be doing other things! He teaches songs the kids love! He's very easy going and flexible and his love for music and teaching shines.

Dylan has taught my daughter, who is now 15, guitar playing and singing. She has been with him since 2020 and has grown significantly in not only her love of music but also her talent in playing the guitar and singing complicated pieces. Dylan has been an incredible music teacher for my 8 and 10-year-old children. My 10-year-old takes piano lessons, and my 8-year-old takes guitar lessons with him, and they both absolutely love it. He has a unique ability to make learning fun and engaging, which keeps my kids excited about their lessons. Would highly recommend.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is different! I'd be delighted to provide you a custom price quote tiered up to a 5-piece band. That way you can find the perfect balance for your budget and music entertainment needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically the customer will email me to start the conversation. I generally prefer a phone call to go over logistics.
From there, I will issue a contract and take a 50% deposit to hold the date. Any questions and follow up calls are welcomed once the date is confirmed.
The balance is due on the day of the performance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
From an academic standpoint, I am a Berklee College of Music graduate, graduating in three years with a degree in performance with an emphasis in contemporary Guitar. I worked so hard at my craft at Berklee that I was the recipient of the Emily Remler Award "In Recognition of Outstanding Achievement" Presented by the Berklee Guitar Department in 2018. After receiving my Bachelors degree I went on to peruse my Masters Degree in Music Education from the University of Florida's Online program. All while playing and teaching full time.
In the working world, Not only do I have academic and real world internship experience with music studios here in San Diego and in Boston, I have been playing and earning money professionally as a musician since before I left for Berklee right out of high school.
