Our 12th grade twin daughters are currently applying to colleges. Since Juliet was a high school principal last year, she understands the pressure of the college application process. She's been instrumental in teaching them the skills to write outstanding personal statements, apply for financial aid, and research the right universities. She also tutors them for AP Lit! We highly recommend her as a consultant and teacher!

I was signed up to take a Kaplan course for GMAT prep and was talking to a co-worker about it when they told me their story. They took one of the same Kaplan courses I was signed up to take and didn't get their desired GMAT score. In their second attempt, they signed up for private tutoring with John Easter, one of Elite Home Tutoring tutors, and their GMAT score improved by over 100 points. After hearing this story, I called to cancel my Kaplan class & signed up with Elite Home Tutoring, with a special request to work with John. During my studies, I decided that I wanted to take the GRE instead of the GMAT. I explained this to my tutor John and to Eric at Elite Home Tutoring and the change was so simple. John is not only skilled in GMAT prep but GRE prep as well. So the only thing that would need to change were the materials. If you're looking for the best resources for test prep I highly recommend Elite Home Tutoring. I have no complaints!

Baeleigh (our daughter to whom James is tutoring) says, "I love that instead of James just telling me how to do something, he uses visuals and is very interactive in explaining something to me. There is nothing that he can do better, I am happy that he is my tutor." As parents, we like that he is so good at finding how Baeleigh learns best so that he can teach her in a way she understands. He is patient and has been good at keeping in touch with her teachers and also with us.

Rebecca R. – San Diego State University (Business and Marketing) “I met MathWizJohn when I was lost in my Accounting class. I felt like there was no way I was going to be able to learn so much material and turn my grade around when I was already so behind. The class was moving quickly, and the problems seemed to be from another planet or book I hadn’t read!! The tutors here were able to slow things down to my pace, show me the material in a way I understood it, and were always encouraging. I was able to salvage a B in the class (clutch), and since then I have received help in Acct 202 and Fin 323. MWJ’s has helped me stay on top of my tough classes, and my grades have improved a lot!”

The people at Idea Tutors were great. They got me in touch with a tutor relatively fast. Other places around town gave me a 4 to 5 day waiting period which is pretty inconvenient while I juggle school and work. The tutor I met with was Tyler. He was friendly, knowledgable, and made sure I understood the material before moving on. We were working on calculus which was never my strongest subject but Tyler made all the difference. Overall I'm really satisfied and will definitely be using Idea Tutors again.

As I prepare myself for professional school to become a practicing physician, I am devoted to helping you to achieve your own success in school and life. I excel in math and science, and I am able to help with high school and college level courses, including mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology. I have recently scored 1450/1600 (Verbal 650/800 + Quantitative 800/800) at a 95 percentile for my GRE (Graduate Record Examination). Besides math and science, I am also fluent in Chinese. As a Dean’s List student from college of science and a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-professional Honor society (AED), I have gained good reasoning skill and formed fine learning habit over the course of my college study. Now, I will pass my knowledge and experience to you! Comparing to a step-by-step tutorial solution manual, I focus on the techniques and methods for problem analyzing, as well as integration and application of related concepts in addition to problem solving. I have been a private in-home tutor for over 3 years, and have been listed as an advising tutor at SDSU Pre-professional Health Advising Office (PPHA). The students I have worked with all felt the sessions are very helpful. I have been told that I have a very easy-going and patient personality by students and parents, and I enjoy spending quality time developing the friendship with my students to discuss issues related to their school and life. Aside from the improvement in grades, many students were benefited and showed improvement in their learning habit, time management, and organization skills. About

I am a college Math/Music major from Haverford College and I tutor from elementary to high school. Tutoring Subjects: • All basic Math, pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, pre-Calculus and Calculus. For students who want to get ahead, I can help them learn concepts beyond what the classes teach. • Reading, grammar and writing fundamentals. • Biology, Chemistry and any history class from Greek history to AP US History. Music Lessons: • Beginning through advanced instruction in: ~Trumpet ~ Clarinet ~ French Horn • Music theory basics and ear training. • As a multi-instrumentalist, I can help your child find the instrument about which they are most passionate. I've had nearly a decade of experience playing clarinet, french horn and trumpet (as well as most other brass and woodwind instruments) in jazz bands and orchestras. I've coached students and been a private teacher for the past five years. I believe strongly in establishing a strong understanding in music theory but incorporate aspects that keep the student interested in their instrument. I additionally give lessons in film production, photo editing and computer/software use.
