Patio or porch,
I had a 4x8 section of sidewalk replaced on the side of my house as well as a small 10x10 concrete patio installed. They did a very good job , obviously knew what they were doing and reasonable priced. I was concerned about the drainage of the new patio as it was right next to my house and garage and previously had drainage problems in this area. He listened to my concerns and explained exactly the steps he was taking to ensure smooth drainage. I waited to write my review until we had a good rain to ensure everything drained well... now it rained and all is well. It worked exactly as he explained :) I highly recommend this company.Jan 19, 2017Verified
Our project was to remove existing concrete and installed new concrete patio. Juan and his workers were fast, reliable, cost effective and professional. We were thrilled with how quickly the project was completed. We would definitely use Charlue Company in the future!Sep 2, 2016Verified
I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews for work, but under no circumstance should you do business with Charlie. I hired him to install concrete pads for the side of my house and he ran with the money without finishing the job. Days turned to weeks of Charlie repeatedly telling me he will be "sending a guy today" to finish the job, but he never did. He stopped picking up my calls and returning my text messages. I paid him to install concrete pads in a design, and then install black pebbles between the concrete. After pouring the concrete, Charlie never came back. He left me with the concrete forms still on the ground, and won't even bother responding to my text messages on how to remove them. We never got the weed barrier or rocks installed. The actual concrete pad installation was sub-par. It's much too high and we'll need to get a ramp otherwise people will get hurt! See attached pictures for what Charlie considers finished work. Do not do business with this person. Regardless of how nice he seems initially, he is not a professional and he lies with no remorse.Jul 15, 2018VerifiedCharlie Company's reply
Hello Simeon, With all due respect, firstly I did not "run away" with the money you paid me to complete the concrete work done. Secondly, You have not paid me the total for the black pebbles you wanted placed between the concrete. As of today the 17th of July, it has been 2 weeks since I had told you that I would put the black pebbles. The first week I explained to you that I had a personal emergency, before I started your job I let you know that I would have a really tight schedule after the 9th of July. I spoke to you a few days ago and let you know my guy would go in this week to take out the wood and that I would personally go to place the pebbles, you would only be paying the materials. Also we had not agreed that I would be placeing the weed barrier, it was agreed that you would place the weed barrier and I would place the rock. Lastly I do not understand what you mean about a ramp, anything you didn't like or didn't agree with could have been fixed prior to the cement drying and with your communication, you said you liked it and had no other comment or questions before or after the work was done. You can let me know if you still want to accept my deal, I go remove the wood and place the rock and you only pay the materials like we had agreed. I apologize again that things didn't go as planned. Know that you can call or text me and if I'm not available right away I will call or text you back when I become available.
Project turned out really good. It’s been a week since our concrete dried but so far we love it. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work we needed done. Entire job took about a week.Jul 10, 2020Verified
Absolutely great to work with! Super responsive, professional and friendly. Everything we needed done on our project was done quickly, to our specifications (especially moving a heavy wood staircase to pour concrete below- THANK YOU!) we couldn’t be happier!Jun 26, 2020Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? Our first step when working with a new customer is to make sure our company is the best fit for the customers project. Next, is to ensure the customer is well informed about the work they want done and check with the customer the steps that will be taken to complete their project. We then send a proposal for the customer to review that includes the best price we can give and the job information.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started doing hardscape when I was 15 years old, all of my family members have worked in concrete jobs. That is why I began working at a young age.
