With the stress of wedding planning having her as a wedding coordinator helped us feel less stressed. She gave us great advice on vendors and helped us find the best deals. Monica was my Day Of Wedding coordinator, and she was very helpful from the time I hired her. She guided me a lot in the beginning of the process, responding quickly to my emails, and collaborated with me putting together ideas for last minute decoration details for my wedding. She also recommended 2 fabulous vendors for the wedding, which turned out great and their service was outstanding! Two things to note though, which I think she could have planned it out better is that she was about 20 minutes late to our wedding rehearsal. I understand that there's always heavy traffic around the time of our rehearsal time, and that she was hired as a day of coordinator, but the rehearsal meeting was included in the service, we told her ahead of time, and it would have been nice if she was there on time or before 5 to stake out the area and be ready to guide us when we all arrived. Another thing that happened, I didnt know at the time since one of my bridesmaids told me after thr wedding, was that one of my guests name was left out of the table seating chart. Other than those hiccups, the day of the wedding went fabulously and she was definitely on top of her game! overall I am happy with her service.Nov 10, 2017Verified
Monica was absolutely a dream to work with. We planned our wedding on a relatively short timeline (< 6 months) and quickly realized we would need some help the day of. I was lucky enough to find her through Thumbtack and would hire her again in a second! She's so detailed oriented and professional - she was quick to respond to all my emails, asked me about every detail (even things I wouldn't have thought of myself) and did an amazing job orchestrating our rehearsal and entire wedding day. Hiring Monica meant our wedding party and family could relax all day, instead of setting up our reception. She really went above and beyond everything I was hoping for - she even made a few announcements at our reception, since we DJ-ed our wedding with an iPod :) if you're looking for day-of wedding coordination, look no further - Monica is definitely your girl. We hired Monica as our Day-of-Coordinator (DOC) after realizing that we needed to bring in a professional to help us execute months of solo planning 2 weeks prior to our wedding August 20, 2016. From her initial communication, she was kind, prompt and willing to work within our budget. Out of all of the DOC's we vetted, we fell in love with her energy, styling and attention to detail. Upon, our first (and only) face-to-face meeting she answered so many of questions and eased our fears leading up to big day. By the time we finished, she had created a ceremony guide for our use during the rehearsal, timeline for the entire wedding and within a day or say she had reached out to all our vendors with coordination details. In the days leading up to the wedding, she remained in close contact via text and gladly agreed to pick-up a few last minute items like napkins and glow sticks without hesitation. We had a HUGE wedding party, 23 in total so, having her guideline to keep everyone organized during the rehearsal was a lifesaver! We initially were going to hire a few attendants for set-up and take down of decor, but after she reviewed our list, she reassured us that she could easily handle on her own or with the help of one other person. Unfortunately, the point person on our end fell through and she was left to set-up on her own. She did an AMAZING job executing our vision! From the tablescapes to the seating chart, and dessert bar, she didn't skip a beat. Having her as our DOC was one of the best decisions we ever made. She managed all the vendors, worked seamlessly with our venue staff, and stayed until the very end to ensure all of our personal items were packed up well after we were on our way to our honeymoon. - How did you get started doing this type of work?After working in an office for over a decade, change was needed. I enjoyed going to family, friends and office events and realized I can plan something like this on my own. After planning a few events and seeing my end product was noticed, that's when I decided to pursue this field on a full time basis.
