Andrea was so easy to work with throughout the planning process even though I only booked her for the day of. She offered help and suggestion beyond what she was required and it was very obvious that she loves what she does. On the day of, I had very little to stress about regarding the logistics of the big day as I knew that Andrea and her team had it handled. She executed the vision I had for my day beautifully and handled all of the details with ease. This review is long overdue. We worked with Events By Abel last spring for my daughter's wedding. I really can't say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make sure that our family was taken care of. From help with set-up to timeline organization to coming up with a great way to handle our special family dynamics (two father of the bride dances; her biological father walking her down the aisle with me, etc). They really considered our needs for the wedding day and created and executed a plan that felt right for all of us. If you have a wedding coming up, we'd highly recommend getting a coordinator....namely, one from the Events By Abel team!Jul 10, 2019
I hired Andrea to be my day of coordinator. She was AMAZING! From the te we met to the end of my wedding. She was on top of everything and got the job done. Andrea makes it happen! She has quick and professional staff to make everything run smoothly - in fact, all the events on our wedding day were so smooth and seamless that guests commented about how well the day was going. She is punctual, organized, and it was incredibly easy to clean up post wedding since everything was neatly placed in boxes - we cleaned up our materials post-wedding in less than half a day! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Our first step is a conversation about you and your fiancé's love story, your vision for your event, and your planning thus far. This typically takes an hour and can be done in-person, over the phone, or virtually. My approach to wedding coordination is to develop a clear sense of your vision and priorities as a couple so that I can handle all of the “day-of” issues that may arise and help you pull off your dream event!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm a certified Wedding Planner and Event Planner and a member of Wedding International Professionals Association. I have an M.S. from Northwestern University, where I went on to work in Special Events for 8 years before ultimately starting my own company. I am also ordained through the Universal Life Church.
