Introduction: Paper Jewels Events offers Event Planning, Coordination and Design services in beautiful, sunny San Diego, California and surrounding areas. We have a soft spot for Weddings, but love planning events for all occasions of any size, theme or venue! Life’s celebrations are a very personal time for us. Our clients trust us to make these events special and memorable and that is not something we take lightly. Krista made my wedding day better that I could have imagined . I got married in October I used a blank venue so it was tough coordinating all the vendors and getting the specifics worked out but she made it so stress free. She was always responsive and available for questions or help with vendors . The florals she recommended by Flower Bee Floristry were perfect and so beautiful. I can not thank her enough for the amazing job she did . She and her team worked so hard to make my day perfect . I would highly recommend her for your event needs . People still talk about how amazing and organized my wedding was .

Krista and her team have been a blessing I hired her last minute and from there on she has been amazing. She would respond to all my messages every time I had a doubt or question about the wedding. I consider her super organize she kept my ideas from forming into a mess. I know my wedding was a little hectic with vendors not responding but she made it worked. She kept me calm through the process and made me understand that if it doesn’t come out they way I wanted because of another vendor not being cooperative she would find a way to make it perfect and she did. Every single detail for me was perfect my husband and I love and appreciate her and her team so much because we knew it wasn’t easy dealing with the vendors we had chosen but it was too late to look for other ones. Which she still managed to find a way to work with them if I can describe her team like I said they have been a blessing.

Krista is so friendly and was very responsive and detailed in all our email and phone correspondences. She made time to follow up without being pushy and offered a very reasonable cost for her services. We didn't end up working with her but will definitely keep her in mind for future events! She was a pleasure to speak with and I'm sure would've been an even greater pleasure to work with.

Krista did my wedding invitations and my wedding favor tags. I was blown away! Every aspect of planning my wedding was becoming more and more stressful, and the first fun thing I did for my wedding was to work with Krista on making a design for my invitations. I did not have a clear vision of what I wanted and Krista helped me to make decisions through small steps. It was overwhelming looking online at all sorts of different invitations, but Krista asked me simple questions that helped me to weed out what I didn’t want and discover what I did want. I ended up with an overall product that really gave guests a glimpse into what the wedding would be like. I had so many compliments on my invitations, and they were one of a kind. Krista was always quick to respond to me, met all of her deadlines, and never even batted an eye when I asked for MULTIPLE revisions. Her attention to detail is amazing, and there is nothing I would change about my final product. I had no idea that I could get custom invitations at a reasonable price. Only a few weeks before my wedding I asked if Krista could help me with my favor tags since I was running out of time to do them myself. Krista came up with an amazing design that matched our invitations and had them to me in record time. Working with Krista on the invitations and favor tags was probably the smoothest part of planning my wedding. With Babies on the brain I know I will be in touch soon to help with baby announcements and kid birthday parties. I am a customer for life. Thank you Krista!!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Military & Civil Servant Discounts~ We proudly offer a 10% discount of any package for Active Duty Military service members, Veterans, Police, Fire and other first responders. Just a little "thank you" for doing what you do!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I always love to start out with a complimentary 30-minute phone consultation so I can "meet" potential clients and learn more about what they're specific needs are. I've found that those few minutes of conversation can make all the difference - I want my clients to know that I will always make the time for them and treat their event like its my own.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Paper Jewels Events' owner, Krista Burroughs has more than 20 years of Event Planning experience, including Corporate Galas & Fundraisers, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Graduations, Anniversaries, countless Birthday Celebrations and dozens of Weddings! She is unbelievably organized, has a natural creative streak and her attention to detail is second to none.
