FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have many class levels, so our price structure is varied. Dogs can begin as early as 7 weeks and our classes are designed to suit the dog's learning levels. Puppy classes start at $185 for 4-5 week durations, and advanced, private, or specialized training ranges from $200 upwards, depending on the class/training program.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial request for a class/private training, our clients would be connected with our Client Services Coordinator (CSC) so they can begin the registration process and get all of their paperwork completed and returned. The CSC is available to answer questions, schedule start dates, look into classes, and coordinate interaction with trainers. After the registration had been completed, the client will then be in direct connection with the trainer. The trainer will then correspond with the client to give class updates, send resources, and anything else they feel is necessary for the client to have prior to or during the course of the class.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of the trainers at Whole Dog Training are certified and via those certifications must earn continuing education credits. We do this in many ways. We attend conferences such as the Association of Pet Dog Trainers which offers advanced tracks for learning. We attend Clicker Expo each year to stay updated on the science of dog training, and we attend seminars and workshops to keep our skills intact. We also contribute volunteer hours with Rancho Coastal Humane Society, have an alliance with Best Friends and their Shelter Partner program, and offer educational seminars to the public to help educate people on dog behavior.
