    Matt is a straight up professional. Matt trained my son last summer before his football season. My son loved how hard Matt pushed him and got him in "the zone." Matt kept the workouts from being mundane and was constantly challenging him. He started this season and will continue with Matt post season in prep for baseball season for sure!

    I have been working out with Matt for almost 3 years now. We work out twice a week and I am always looking forward to working out with him. I like how he always gives complete body workout: starting with abs, then legs, chest and shoulders and then biceps and triceps. When we are done I am always happy with what we done and I feel refreshed and accomplished.

    I'm a retired former Army Ranger, active in skiing, golf, and biking. Matt has been my trainer for a few years, helping me to rehab from a knee replacement and get back to ski-fitness for the slopes at Alta, Utah, my former home ski track. Matt is an exceptional trainer. He uses multiple sets of multiple exercises, mixing up the exercises in sets of three. He uses every kind of equipment, from TRX to free weights to exercise bands, balls and resistance. He emphasizes core work, but makes sure your goals, whatever they are, are met by the routines he designs and supervises, He has a depth of knowledge and practice that few can match. If your goal is to get fit, you can be sure he'll get you where you want to be. He will work you to the level you're capable of, and if you put the time in, the results will be there.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates depend on the training package you buy. My rates are typically broken down like this: 20-pack of training = $55 per session 10-pack of training = $65 per session 5-pack of training = $70 per session Single session = $80
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love fitness and health. I played high school football (and basketball with Kobe Bryant) in Philadelphia. I played 4 years of college football at UR. I played 4 years of football in the NFL. I receieved my BA degree in Sports Science & Health. It was a natural fit!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you do plenty of research on who you're about to hire. Don't necessarily look for certifications (CPR / AED, of course should be required) - but certifications are really meant for people looking to get into the business that don't have a background in fitness or don't have a college degree. Certifications typically take 4-6 months to obtain. And you can take the tests as many times as possible. I studied, passed with flying colors, ALL of the subject matter that's included in those certification packages FOR 4 YEARS straight. I've lived, ate, slept fitness and health for almost 20 years now.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Personal trainers often get a reputation of being "not too smart". See all The Bachelor and The Bachelorette shows. TV shows seem to put the worst of us in front of the camera. I received my BA degree in Sports Science & Health from a VERY well respected, nationally academically ranked university, that's VERY tough to get into - The University of Richmond, in Richmond, Virginia. Private university, approx 3500 students, average class size is 15 students.
