There are many teachers who just show you how to play songs and nothing else. Other teachers might be very good at their craft, but lack the ability to teach it effectively. I stand out because I am a successful and accomplished musician, but I also give lessons that are effective, easy to understand, and give clear instructions on what to practice and how to practice it. I also feel that lessons should be more than just teaching a student to play a song (You can use YouTube for that!) We learn songs to teach a deeper understanding of music theory and how it relates to your instrument. My goal is to get my students to a point where they don't need lessons anymore and to become well-rounded musicians. I get to spend my entire day playing music! And, the sense of gratification I get when I see my students improve and become more confident as a performer.
