FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We attend annual conventions in our field to learn about current trends in the marketplace. We also take 30-40 hours of continuing education each year to stay at the top of our profession.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We did a home inspection recently in an exclusive community of Del Mar. The inspector noted a slight dip in the floor under the carpet and stressed the need for further examination as he felt their might be some foundation issues. The seller agreed to have the carpets removed and doing so revealed a multitude of cracks running through several rooms of the house. This discovery saved the home owner thousands of dollars and gave them a definitive advantage when it came time to negotiate their purchase.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask your home inspector for his or her qualifications. The home inspector you chose should have extensive experience in the home inspection field, and should have many years of actual residential construction experience as well. Also, they should be certified and hold membership and be active in one of the major trade associations such as InterNACHI.
