Hello! I began my career in the Culinary industry by studying at Johnson and Wales University and attaining my Bachelors degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management in Miami, Florida. I quickly became an emerging Talent through Winning the 2015 San Pellegrino’s Almost Famous Chef Competition. Over the last several years I have had the opportunity of working with chefs from a Michelin Stared Restaurant in Germany, Walt Disney World and opening my own cafe in Australia! Since moving back to the states: I love displaying my creativity and knowledge from my world travels from Asia and Europe. With over 12 years of industry; I bring knowledge of different cultures and foods into my cooking to create menu items that are both original and nostalgic all at the same time. If you’re looking for a thoughtful + talented chef for your upcoming event, book Destiny asap!! 

Backstory: We recently hosted a 40th birthday celebration and were so fortunate to have Destiny as our private chef for an intimate dinner of 16 close friends. I interviewed six different chefs, and Destiny stood out right away on our initial phone call. She asked thoughtful questions about our event, provided multiple menu options, and was timely with all correspondence. I felt confident that the dinner would be great, but what Destiny curated was next level delicious!!  Our entire group was blown away with what she created (not said lightly from a few foodies in the group + myself whose parents are both professional chefs). She put together a beautiful family style spread, had everything ready on time, and left our kitchen spotless. Having her cater our event was a highlight of the weekend. 

BIG THANK YOU to Destiny and her supportive dad (who came to be her assistant). Like I said, BOOK HER. You’ll be so glad you did!

We worked with Destiny for a private dinner, specializing in vegan cuisine. Designing the menu was fun, as Destiny worked with me to come up with the perfect menu! All of her dishes were excellent! The guest were so happy (and full) and e dry dish had so much flavor, depth, and was presented beautifully. Very high end cooking! Destiny was kind, professional and brought all her supplies and left the kitchen spotless! I would give Destiny 10’stars if I could! Definitely book her for your next event! Thank you Destiny for providing us not only GREAT food but a relaxing, and memorial night.

My company hired Destiny for an offsite work retreat where she gave us a class on creating appetizers with our own product (smoked seafood). Going into the event, we had very specific ideas about what we wanted to get out of the class, and Destiny delivered above and beyond on all of them. She was incredibly easy to communicate and plan with before the event, and our team had a great time during the class- it was definitely a highlight of the retreat and we all walked away with more skills and knowledge in preparing our products!

I recently hired Destiny to cook for a group of 20 friends for a milestone birthday. I read reviews and valued the great communication with Destiny right off the bat. This may seem weird, but when I requested a fish dish, and she told me she would serve what she could find “fresh and in season,” I knew she was the right choice. She did not disappoint. One guest said, they are “now a carrot person.” Another wanted to lick the serving dish of polenta and beef. My point is, Destiny far exceeded our expectations. I am so pleased that I trusted my gut and went with Destiny. She is a great cook and a doll!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to have a consultation over the phone first, then based on the customer needs, I establish hourly rates, and pricing!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will first have a phone call consultation just familiarizing myself with the customer, and what they are looking for. Then I will send a follow up email regarding what we talked about in recap form, and then based on our conversation; we would finalize a menu, finalize cost and rates, and set a date for service!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University 15" Winner of the San Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef Competition 15" I was an Executive Chef for a Specialty Coffee and Brunch spot for LA & San Diego for over 3 years, and have worked in Australia, Michelin star restaurant in Germany, and Asia with a combined total of over 12 years in the industry.
