Ruby is amazing. I started seeing her once a week just over a month ago, and I am already feeling strong, confident and empowered. She really takes the time to make sure I am doing each exercise correctly and pushes me to drive past what I thought was possible. Do not sleep on this trainer!

I could tell while taking a group TRX class with Ruby that she would be a great coach—she offered personal attention and corrections to each member of her class and demonstrated a strong understanding of alignment and biomechanics. As a personal trainer, she listens when I tell her something in my week has made my body hurt and gives me adjustments and a variety of exercises that have helped with pain management and strength building.

100% Ruby has changed my life. I wasn’t even looking to start a personal training program when I availed of the free consult and training session through Chelsea Piers, as I was relatively fit and had a good spin/yoga/weighted HIIT routine going. I am so glad I went for it. Ruby immediately diagnosed the little aches and troubles I had been living with and it is no exaggeration to say my body and outlook and lifestyle have changed completely for the better. I am stronger, more adventurous and confident in the gym—and this extends to outside life too. She challenged me in the best (and very frustrating!) ways, hitting on my areas of weakness and not letting up on quality. Check your ego at the door folks! She was always aiming to empower and equip, ready with encouragement while sticking to pretty rigorous standards of form. Which, as a longtime yoga practitioner, I deeply appreciate. Ruby applies the right amount of pressure (not overbearing or causing a break) to get you right to the edge where change and growth happens. Great advice on goals and nutrition too! Best part of working with Coach Ruby? Even the hardest workouts feels like shooting the shit with a buddy.

I started working with Ruby to help me strengthen my leg muscles in preparation for my goal of doing a triathlon. In particular, I wanted to make sure my legs could handle the work from running. Ruby is an excellent coach and she understood what I wanted, so each workout was designed to target specific muscles (e.g., glutes, hamstrings, calves). I improved strength, coordination and balance with each workout. I also really liked the way Ruby incorporated body weight exercises into the warmup and core workout. If you're working towards a specific goal or just want an extremely knowledgeable trainer who can help you be your best athletic self, I highly recommend Ruby!

Ruby is fantastic at what she does. I have had the pleasure to be in many small group classes she leads at a strength & conditioning gym. She takes the time to form individual connections and give great advice and guidance on form and technique, even in the context of group classes where there is a lot going on. Ruby goes above & beyond to connect with people and communicate her expertise in a thoughtful way. Her pointers have helped me on several occasions to improve my lifts and make sure I’m engaging the correct muscles. After she helped correct my form during a hip thrust, I was easily able to lift 100 more pounds! (135 vs 235) She even helped me with an exercise I was doing as instructed to by my physiotherapist, which was not part of the group class exercises. I can only imagine how amazing she would be one-on-one based on my experience working with her in a group setting. Can’t recommend enough.
