FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, every year I either attend workshops to gain teaching knowledge. Earlier this year I completed my second certification in Yoga Sculpt allowing me gain NETA certification. This month Oct. 2012 I completed my Reiki 1 certification. I can now give hands on adjustments with healing hands and teach strength training with yoga. I will always continue to gain inspiration by continuing my education.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to become a yoga instructor after attending a yoga class that moved me in special way, I went home soon after to talk to my sister about the class and that was it, I knew that is what I wanted to do forever. My yoga practice started in high school and I had a great teacher that was so inspiring that I wanted to be a light like she was for me. I wanted to connect with people and help them find the right yoga practice for them. Right after taking the class at the gym I left to look up places I could get certified. Three years later, I have two certifications and I am still continuing my education today.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I usually do private lessons with my students in a park, beach or in the comfort of their own home. I enjoy teaching Vinyasa, Hatha, Yoga Sculpt and Restorative Flow. I enjoy giving adjustments and I am a practitioner of Reiki. I also love getting group classes together for yoga gatherings ( yoga and surf, yoga and biking, yoga and hiking). Lunch hour yoga, corporate spaces and guided meditations.
