- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every student is welcome to a discounted 30-minute online trial lesson, where we will get to know each other and we'll talk about your goals, musical interests. Then we'll learn a little something to get started!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied classical piano for 12 years with concert pianist Linda Gleichman, and classical voice for 10 years with opera singer Jordan Farrar. While I have a strong classical foundation, I also started performing rock music while in high school as a keyboardist and vocalist in a megachurch band, where I learned and performed new pop and rock songs every week. Since then, I have toured for several years as the lead singer and keyboardist of an indie rock band with a cult following. I’ve written and produced four albums and several music videos for the band, and learned a ton about songwriting, performing, recording, and the music industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching piano lessons while in high school when families from the church I performed at would ask for lessons. I recently began to teach vocal lessons as well, drawing on my classical training and my rock performance background.
