- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I possess three collegiate degrees in the field of music. I have obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Music Recording Technology and an Associate of Science in Music from Finger Lakes Community College and a Bachelor of Music from Syracuse University. I have also had the opportunity to write music and work as a touring musician for many years. I have been associated with three record labels as a writer and performer: Panic Records, Aux Records, and LRS Records. I am proudly endorsed by FGN Guitars.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My passion for music started at the age of ten when I got my first guitar. It was the thing I couldn’t put down, no matter what. A statement that still rings true to this very day. I also was always drawn towards helping people. Whether it be an internship, a volunteer opportunity, or an entire job, I consistently found myself working to guide others. After some years of performing and making music, I decided it was time to make my two passions into one career. I moved to California from New York to take an opportunity at a school in the area. I was able to move up into an assistant director role at the school before the COVID-19 pandemic would cause me to be laid off. Though at the time, I was very defeated, it would give me the opportunity to form Conzone’s Music and take my career into my own hands. I approach every day as an opportunity to give someone the gift of music. I am extremely passionate about what I do and thankful I am able to help people on their musical journey!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice on hiring a music teacher would be to find someone that can address the musical/instrumental needs of the student, but also someone you feel the student can connect with. A music teacher is a person the student will be interacting with regularly and often sharing their thoughts and feelings with. Be sure to evaluate if you think the instructor will be a good personality fit and that the student can truly bond with them.
