Introduction: I like to teach yoga for beginners. I have found that many people are interested in yoga or want to take a beginner class, but are intimidated by the group atmosphere and want more individualized attention. With my yoga knowledge and experience, I like to work with beginner yogis to inspire curiosity and questions as well as find their favorite yoga poses and styles. When people get to that "AHAH" moment in yoga. When you stop thinking about the pose, how your body is shaped, or what your plans are for after class. That moment is when your mind tunes into your body and you begin to find yourself.

I had never had a private yoga session before but Jennifer showed me how much of a difference it can make on my practice. Once we started, I immediately felt calm and ready to take on the movement. She broke down harder moves so that now I can do things I wasn't able to do before. She also teaches a great blend of flow / cardio and relaxation. Would highly recommend.

Jen was able to give me effective tips for preserving my wrists (a big problem for me!) and overall led us into a well rounded, active flow, punctuated with just the right amount of mindfulness reminders (nothing that made me roll my eyes) to come out of the session relaxed of both body and mind.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    The first class I spend time getting to know your physical goals, yoga experience, and and concerns you might have. Each class following will build on the class before to increase strength, flexibility, and decrease stress through movement and breath.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am an RYT - 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teacher. I have hundreds of hours of yoga and teacher training which gives me the knowledge to guide clients based on their needs and prevent injuries.
