I received my degree in engineering and multimedia from North Carolina State University and have been doing digital multimedia projects in one form or another since 1994. I started off my career by doing animation and special effects using After Effects, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max and Alias. As Maya came to the forefront, I adopted it as the go-to platform for animation and rendering. Later, as I took more advanced film courses, I became intrigued with editing as a storytelling tool. With the advent of Final Cut Pro on the Mac, I migrated from special effects, motion graphics, and animation to full-time editing. While working as an editor, I continued my education learning more about cinematography, screenwriting, directing, lighting, color correction, and 3D compositing. My current workflow includes Final Draft for scriptwriting, Modo for 3D, Final Cut/Adobe/Avid for editing, Nuke and After Effects for compositing and graphics, Compressor and MPEG Stream for uploading, and Photoshop for everything else. Having been a cable station manager for four years and currently, the technical director in San Jose, I have experience in doing live multi-camera shows as well. No matter what your project, I guarantee I can give you unrivaled output done with the enthusiasm of someone who cares about the content and goals of your project. There are hundreds of editors for you to choose from, but there are very few with the years of experience, who just love editing, are extremely fast, and have an accompanying depth of knowledge of post-effects (Audio, Aftereffects, Nuke and Photoshop), and are able to do so much more for less. I also do live event videography and multi-camera shoots as well.
