Miriem’s training puts me in such a good mood I wish I could do it more often. I train, laugh, and box so hard I can feel all my muscles later. She is such a great trainer, and extremely considerate, knowledgeable and fun. I like how I’m pushed to do things I’m not great at (shadow boxing, jump roping..) and taught to correct my mistakes and do better. I can really feel my boxing skills growing, and some muscles too.

I highly recommend anyone on their fitness journey to hire Sunil. Sunil is a very unique and special trainer. Not only does he make sure that your form and effort is in line with the workout, but he also makes sure to balance your workout with functional training, cardio training (especially sometimes with a particular focus on boxing), flexibility training, and core training based on your needs. He also rebalances this mix of training based on your goals and current progression. Basically, his workouts always new and individualized, but the workouts always help me get towards my fitness goals.

Sunil’s training program has been great for my health and wellbeing; he makes sure all moves are done effectively to move the body the right way. Boxing and kickboxing are great exercises, also his attention to flexibility and stretching makes the training count more than its duration. He is knowledge level on muscles and body is solid. Hey everybody - I've been training boxing for ~4 years on and off. Elias is a great coach for anyone: from someone who is just starting out and wants to have fun to someone who has a lot of boxing experience and wants to improve his/her technique. Firstly, Elias is very professional. He's extremely responsive, always arrives early, and has a great professional attitude that makes it very easy to feel comfortable and have fun working with him. Secondly, he is very knowledgeable about boxing - he has been training most of his life - which means that he can immediately figure out the areas you can improve and show you himself how to execute complex techniques. Thirdly, he is very passionate about boxing and martial arts in general and has a lot of sparring experience. Therefore, he's always down to do some light sparring and teach you along the way. It has been really great working out with Sunil. He is very knowledgeable, encouraging and professional. His workouts are different each time, keeping things interesting. Sunil is very knowledgeable and responsible in his profession. My partner and I are both very glad to train together with him! He is the best personal coach we ever had. I started training with Sunil in Jan 2022 & my husband in April 2022 . It has been a overall positive experience. I love that he is focused on improving the quality of movement vs sole focus on quantity/numbers. My form, technique & flexibility have shown considerable improvement. I was slipping in keeping up with my personal fitness during the pandemic and so came on Thumbtack for the first time to find personal training. It was my first experience working out with a professional and Sunil was wonderful! It was very easy to schedule to meet, talk through my needs and then meet 2x/week to do exercises. I really enjoyed boxing and his first-principles approach to building my strength, and I am now in the greatest shape of my life! He was also very professional and flexible with my scheduling needs. Lastly he is also a wonderful cheerleader and always encouraged me to push on without making me feel bad. Highly recommend!

Javon is a great boxing coach to work with. He helped me get back into a workout routine after falling off the fitness train for a long time. I gained alot of weight during pandemic and he helped be modify my daily food intake and made it pretty doable for me to achieve despite my busy schedule and he has helped me stay accountable with my workouts. I’ve lost 20lbs since working together with him in January and am working to loose a few more of my covid pounds as i continue to work with him. He is responsive and professional and just helps me stay discipline with taking care of myself and health. I’m learning to love working out again! Working with Elias has been one of the most rewarding fitness experiences I've had in months. When the quarantine started, I didn't know where to look to get involved in fitness and who to trust to teach me self-defense and foundations in mixed martial arts. I didn't have a lot of experience with finding instructors or trainers in the city since I'm new and just moved here from Canada, eh. I also had a lot of personal worries and doubts about who to trust and rely on for training, self-defense and fitness. I didn't know a lot of people and was in need of someone trust-worthy and reliable. When I met Elias, I was skeptical about the $60/per session but open-minded to the idea of working with him and that turned out to be one of the BEST fitness decisions I've made. Elias over-exceeded my expectations in so many areas, including delivering fun, challenging, engaging workouts that focused on foundations, strength workouts, and variety on Muay Thai, Boxing, and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-jitsu). In his words, he grew up in a tough neighbourhood, and those experiences taught him to be practical, smart and nimble. He has over 20 years of experience in MMAs (mixed martial arts). He's competed professionally in a ring for over 5 years, giving him a HUGE range of experiences to share with his students. On top of that, he's kind (he bought me a Gatorade when I didn't bring water to a class), considerate of his students (pushes you just hard enough and asks you how you're feeling), responsiveness (you need 1:1 classes ASAP because life is stressin' you out - he's got your back), and has high integrity (believes in delivering value and teaching you to be excellent, instead of just trying to take as much money from you as possible). He has built a wonderful 1:1 experience for me by building a safe place to learn MMAs, without making me feel bad about taking my time to learn foundations. He's patient and deeply cares about his students and the experience he delivers. As a plug, him and his team also have outdoor boxing lessons in the Panhandle & Russian Hill currently. Support this local business and help them thrive during the pandemic so they can deliver more outdoor boxing classes for others in a safe manner. If you do, google sfboxingclub. I do both the 1:1 and go to the these outdoor classes on the weekends. Truly, truly a wonderful experience that is hard to come by. Not only does his team do such an amazing job of attentively making sure your experience is wonderful and safe, they also help to build a small, safe and mighty community of boxers who are strong and happy to get their fitness in a safe and comfortable space. Thank you Elias for all that you do. I do not write reviews very often, but when someone goes up and beyond to make my experience amazing, I will write a review for them. Highly, highly recommend. A+++++++++. Do it up.
