I had a great experience moving with Spartan. I called a few weeks ahead of my moving date and was able to schedule the move without any issues. They immediately sent a confirmation email with all the details and tips on how to pack and prepare. I also got a discount by scheduling my move on a weekday. On moving day they called in the morning and let me know they'd be arriving around 9:30am. They showed up on time and immediately got to work. The foreman took charge of disassembling the furniture and wrapping all the tv's and furniture, while the other two guys hauled everything into the truck. They even brought wardrobe boxes for our closets, and packed up a couple boxes of loose items that we hadn't managed to pack. It took them about 4.5 hours to load up our large 2 bedroom + storage unit and we were on our way to the new place. Unloading at the new house was much quicker, taking them about 2.5 hours including reassembling all the furniture. No items were missing or broken. All in, it took about 7.5 hours to move from SF to Tiburon, plus about $100 in extra packing materials and boxes. Moving sucks, it's the absolute worst, but Spartan made it tolerable. I will definitely use them next time I move.
Carlos & his team were outstanding. They showed up early, were very hard working and did a great job moving our 1800 square foot home. We had a hard couch that wouldn't fit through a door and without any hesitation they were able to lift this using a pulley system up through the upstairs balcony. I will use two friends movers again when I move for sure! Great guys.
I hired these guys for a local moving from Sunnyvale to San Francisco. They showed up about on time and did the job pretty efficient. They are friendly, too. But my floor mirror is broken during the move (although Edgar told me it's the first thing broke on him in the past 4 years. I guess it's just my luck?). It could have been 5 stars if nothing was broken.
Albion was great. After finding them on thumbtack I called and asked them about our planned move. They gave us an estimated time, talked through the things we could do to help, and said they'd be there at 10am on moving day. A week and a half later at 10am exactly they knocked on our door. The whole move went great, they moved our TV, a custom built computer and many other things we had trouble packing. It turns out they had to share an elevator at the new building, which slowed them down a bit. Had this not been the case I think their original estimate would have been spot on. Even with this slow down it wasn't that far off. On top of that their rates are very reasonable. Go with Albion.
Moving Service Transport was very easy to work with. It was seamless to arrange the moving date, communicate with Scott, and estimate the price. On moving day, the movers were incredibly professional, did everything I asked and were efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Harp and his team did awesome moving and moving out cleaning for me. They fill holes and patch dry wall. Mount my tv and install faucet at my new place. Easy to work and communicate with them. Defining hire them again
We used Smart Move to move from the Bay Area to Sacramento and couldn't be more pleased with our experience. When they arrived (on time, I might add) we were given an estimate as to how many hours the job would take and they finished 1/2 hour earlier than anticipated. We had also packed our personal vehicles full of the more fragile items we owned, and they offered to help unload those items with the extra time remaining on the hour they were working. We had three movers- Johnny, Sergei and Mike. They all had great attitudes, followed our requests for loading certain items, handled our belongings with care, and were very efficient. Not one thing was broken or mishandled. We had each box labeled with colored tags for the rooms at our new place and they put all the boxes in the correct rooms, which made unpacking so much easier. They reassembled some of our furniture and placed the furniture where it belonged so that we wouldn't have to rearrange it later. We are so thankful to this crew for making this move the most efficient and smooth one we've had! This moving company was worth every penny and there was an hourly discount for paying in cash. DDT Moving was perfect for my move. They were prompt, friendly, and moved very fast. We got my entire move down in 2.5 hrs. I would use DDT again for my next move.
These guys were truly great. Michael was extremely quick with communication and very nice. They were available when we needed them, showed up on time and got right to work, handled everything professionally and with care. DMC Hauling provided a great service making our move in day nice and smooth, couldn’t have asked for a better moving company!!!
This was my second time using Leclair Moving. His crew again did a great job, which otherwise we got to ask at least 3-4 friends to help. And his price is very reasonable
The quality of the movers were phenomenal and the price was really fair. Movers were helpful yet efficient and everything was delivered from CA to CO without issue. My only complaint is that the communication for the delivery of my shipment was not good however, when I issued a complaint the issue was resolved and I was given a discount. My Move truly cares about their customers!
I hired MP Movers (Marquiz) to assemble a 6 drawer IKEA dresser. He arrived right on time and was very polite. The dresser came in 3 different boxes which had to be moved downstairs to my daughter's room, which he did for me. He was so conscientious that at one point the instructions didn't match the materials and he brought this to my attention. He quoted me a flat fee and stuck to that. All in all, I couldn't have been happier and I will definitely hire MP Movers again. I highly recommend Marquiz and MP Movers.
Andrew and his team did a great job for me - disassembling, moving and reassembling furniture from one room to another. They were prompt and efficient and an excellent value. I highly recommend him!
Nicolas was easy to work with, was not only on time, and was friendly. He and his other mover did a great job picking up furniture for me in another city, then brought it to me. They also helped me move furniture around after just moving in a week ago. I would definitely use them again.
Without a doubt the best moving service i have ever used. Getting the estimate took 10 minutes and the move finished within the estimate. 2br apartment with a flight of stairs to my new townhome. Highly recommend Ultimate Movers and definitely going to use their services for my next move.
I hired Bayside Delivery and Moving because I really liked the way they presented their quote to me. I had a 55 mile move and they were able to quote me for labor time (loading and unloading) and gave me a separate quote for mileage (driving distance). This was very fair. I think I saved some money as I had ridiculous quotes of up to $1400 for this move. I also had a few lower quotes but I didn't like how they went about quoting it to me. Some wanted to charge less per hour but would also charge me for driving time and a per-mile charge. Bayside listened to my special requests like stacking the boxes in my storage unit with the content labels facing out so I could read what was inside the boxes. Everything was neatly stacked. There was also a long delay on the freeway to get to my destination but they never complained about anything. I would definitely recommend them and give them 5 stars!!
I agree with other reviewers that there is a bit of a disconnect in the office and my estimate was significantly off from my final price. There is also a bit of excessive overwrapping but I can understand why for a long distance move. Rose and Jennifer worked to ensure my final price was closer to the estimate and within my budget. William in logistics ensured the truck arrived within the timeframe I needed for a very specific and tight move due to a work start date. I would say what makes Great Nation great are the moving crews. Eric ran my pick up and did an excellent job securing my items and documenting everything that was loaded into the truck. Fred and Carlos went out of their way to ensure my delivery came on a specific day that was out of their time range. They were pleasant and worked extremely hard even though it was probably an inconvenience for them. Fred was on the crew for my pick up and was familiar with my items and my moving situation and just an absolute pleasure to work with. Even though there were a few hiccups I still 100 percent recommend Great Nation if you are looking for a fast and efficient move with great movers who care. A lot of long distance companies want you to wait weeks for your items. For a NJ to FL move I had my move completed in 4 days. I would definitely use Great Nation again in the future and would say any issue I experienced would happen with any other company. I called after another moving company bailed on me 2 days before my move. Great Nation was able to jump in and coordinate my move, deal with my high stress level, and make sure all issues were handled to my satisfaction. A+++
