I have over 8 years experience face painting with happy clients. I relate well to children and adults. I do not upcharge for embellishments ande bling to make my designs sparkle and I am fairly quick.
I have been awarded a Thumbtack Best of 2015, 2016 and 2018 and have had only 5 star reviews!! And I am great with young kids!
I just LOVE seeing a child light up when they look into the mirror and see their new persona. Adding sparkles and other embellishments just adds to their delight. Sometimes their behavior can change to fit the character I have painted! So fun!!!!

Joanie is just excellent with kids. No pushing, they patiently waited their turns. Having a little booklet of examples really helped move the line. Wish we had booked her longer because there were still kids coming in, and the adults were starting to ask for face paints, lol. Joaner worked for 2 hours straight even refusing a break because the kids were waiting. She's awesome you won't be disappointed.

Joanie was great! She painted faces for my son’s 5th birthday and really made it special. She was responsive, punctual, friendly, and so sweet with the kids. Anyone looking for a face painter should definitely consider hiring her!

Joanie is fantastic! She was great with all the kids and they loved her facepainting. She was easy to coordinate with, patient while the kids swarmed around her waiting for their turn, and is a lovely person in general. We will definitely use her again!

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge by the hour. Minimum is one hour. $75.00 is my hourly rate. An additional 1/2 hour is $40.00. I have not raised my rates in 8 years! I will consider other rates for non-profit events
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually a telephone conversation to discuss details is all it takes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am constantly watching online for new ideas and training. It is amazing what I have learned and it has helped me improve my skills. I review old ideas and add new ones with each new booking and theme. It keeps things fresh.
