Thank you Leslie. I hope you've been happy with the colors we chose for your home. How is that highlight color working out for you in the dining area? My best, Rachelle
My wife and I hired Rachelle to help pick-out new colors for our apartment, as well as re-arrange the space to take better advantage of our small apartment. She was incredibly thoughtful, patient, and helpful. We enthusiastically recommend her.Feb 27, 2017VerifiedRachelle G.'s reply
Thank you for your review Kirk. I enjoyed working with you and Maryanne and would love to see your completed project. Eager to hear what color you decided upon for your bathroom. Any chance? Hope all is well and that you're enjoying the changes. Best!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Certified Architectural Color Consultant (CACC), trained and mentored by Teresa Tullio of The Business of Color. She provides ongoing levels of training throughout the year to increase student's skills. We have the opportunity to stay 'current' on the science of color and its effect on human's emotional and physical health. I also stay current as an interior designer by taking seminars and am always reading and researching changes in design.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I'm a big fan of honest, authentic self-expression...both inside and out! For many years I had been a psychotherapist (the inside part) and in 2000 I made a decision to also work with people to express themselves in their environments (the outside part). It meets my creative needs and clients appreciate the melding of the two.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Clients who wish to have a professional assist them with choosing colors they will love living with. Residential interior design...anything from assisting folks to work with what they already have in their homes but change the layout. Perhaps a piece of furniture or new pillows is all that's affordable or needed. That works to change the 'feel' in a room. On a larger scale, designing entire home color palettes, furnishings and window treatments. There is no 'most common' job really. It always feels fresh and new to me.
