About this pro
I got in touch with Rachelle for a color consultation after realizing that the color I had chosen for our walls was a bad choice. She was extremely helpful in working with me to find the right color as well as teaching me about the nuances of color. Rachelle took many color-influencing factors into consideration that I would have never thought to evaluate on. The walls are now finished and look amazing! I highly recommend Rachelle.May 23, 2018Verified
We hired Rachelle for help with our exterior painting project. It was a rush and she was able to fit us in quickly. She came prepared with great ideas and samples. We followed all of her suggestions, from the color to the sheen, and are thrilled with the results! We will definitely use her for future projects!May 12, 2018VerifiedRachelle G.'s reply
Angie, it was fun working with you. I'm thrilled that you're happy with the results of the color transformation on the charming exterior of your home. Thank you for the review. I look forward to collaborating with you again anytime you're ready. Enjoy! Rachelle

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Certified Architectural Color Consultant (CACC), trained and mentored by Teresa Tullio of The Business of Color. She provides ongoing levels of training throughout the year to increase student's skills. We have the opportunity to stay 'current' on the science of color and its effect on human's emotional and physical health. I also stay current as an interior designer by taking seminars and am always reading and researching changes in design.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I'm a big fan of honest, authentic self-expression...both inside and out! For many years I had been a psychotherapist (the inside part) and in 2000 I made a decision to also work with people to express themselves in their environments (the outside part). It meets my creative needs and clients appreciate the melding of the two.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Clients who wish to have a professional assist them with choosing colors they will love living with. Residential interior design...anything from assisting folks to work with what they already have in their homes but change the layout. Perhaps a piece of furniture or new pillows is all that's affordable or needed. That works to change the 'feel' in a room. On a larger scale, designing entire home color palettes, furnishings and window treatments. There is no 'most common' job really. It always feels fresh and new to me.
