We had Dan for our wedding first dance lessons. From the get-go, Dan had a very detailed, yet easy to follow instructions. We don't have any dancing background, yet he put so much trust in us to perform some amazing moves and created a unique routine. Everyone at our wedding were thoroughly impressed with our dance. Thank you Dan!

Erin gave us dance lessons for our wedding first dance. Even at the last minute, Erin was easy to communicate and schedule with. She managed our time efficiently and clarified anything she felt was unclear during the dance lessons. Erin had a great, friendly, upbeat attitude from beginning to end and made us feel comfortable quickly. Highly recommend!

Marge was very friendly and understanding making it easy for a couple of non-dancers to begin learning ballroom dancing for the first time ever. We only had 4 hours with her since we decided on choreographing a ballroom dance so late in the game, but she was able to bring us up to speed quickly and professionally. She would get sidetracked sometimes and begin telling us stories but it was charming and she didn't stay off track for too long. Her teaching style was firm but patient at the same time and the lessons were always fun. Our dance turned out fantastic, especially considering the short amount of time she had to teach it to us and the fact that we had no prior dance training at all.

We just finished our first dance lesson and we are so excited with the simple yet beautiful moves we were taught. She took time to explain clearly and demonstrate everything. We have a couple of more lessons scheduled and are looking forward to them!

My church wanted to do a program of three Latin Dance lessons over the course of a month. We looked for somebody to do this and we found the most marvelous teacher --- Ruth Caspary of Latin Connection Dance. First of all, she was really professional and easy to plan with. And she had good suggestions for the planning. We were able to fit in bachata, salsa, and American tango. Super! Second, she came on site (we have a great space with a wooden floor) with her equipment and music and was ready to teach. Third, she is a super teacher. She accounted for each person's abilities and was energetic and generous with her time. We all learned a lot and had great fun, too. Last, but not least, she is social and friendly, a good conversationalist as well as a great teacher. There's no question who we'd go to in the future.

I know Emily from riding AIDS lifecycle with her a few years back. I reached out to her about 2 months prior to my wedding for First Dance lessons with my fiancé. We have weekly lessons at a studio space on Missouri street in SF. She is easy to work with and schedule lessons. Her prices are very reasonable and she even donates $10 of every lesson to a charity close to her that you pick! (we chose ALC) Emily is great. She is very knowledgeable and very aware of teaching same-sex partner dancing. I knew she would be a valuable instructor for that reason and refused to go to a stock dance studio. We have choreographed an entire song, and every week we get better and better. The hour spent with Emily is full of smiles, laughter and overall great time. My partner and I look forward to dance lessons every week! She is a joy to be around and very helpful. I highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for dance lessons! (We even drive up from Palo Alto to see her!)

Freddy is fabulous! We hired her for a mom / son dance for his bar mitzvah. This was not a typical slow dance. We asked her to copy the choreography from our favorite video. She showed up at the studio having already broken down the choreography for us. Then she had us go through some warmup dancing and started the choreography. She was incredibly responsive to our needs. I wanted the dance broken down for me a certain way so I could nail the steps. She was supportive of my son, who had never taken a dance lesson. Within the time we booked, we nailed the dance and video'd the choreography. Cannot say enough good things about Freddy. She's upbeat, friendly and makes you feel welcome in a dance studio.

We took dance lessons from Alpa for our first dance at our wedding reception. She choreographed the whole thing and even asked us for our input and offered to let us change things based on comfort and preference. She did a great job though and me being the control freak that I am, I'm surprised that I didn't have a single change request! Let me stress that neither one of us are dancers and I was very worried about doing the dance in front of so many of our friends and family. But Alpa was so patient with us and made us feel so comfortable. We feel like we've known her for years yet we just met her a couple weeks ago! We learned the dance in two lessons and we will be back for our final lesson next week just to practice in front of her with my 25 lb lehenga and heels. If you need dance lessons of any kind, she is your girl! Thank you, Alpa! We are so thrilled that you will be a part of our big day in such a big way.

"First Dance" lessons with choreography assistance less than 2 weeks out from our wedding. We started out with 2 and extended it to 3 lessons. Joseph was really helpful instructing the two of us that have no background in dancing. In 1 hour we had the basis for a first dance at our wedding. In 2 hours he got us better at that and added flourishes. In 3 hours he worked on the entire production. He knows what he's doing and has fun doing it.

Jessica is super encouraging, understanding, and enthusiastic about what she does. I have always wanted to learn how to dance; however, my biggest barrier is my fear to just let loose. Jessica is super patient with me. She teaches me new moves and provides the space to try them out. I'm still in the process of getting over my fear but with each lesson, I feel myself feeling a little more confident than the lesson before. Jessica definitely does a good job of pushing me to get better without making me feel uncomfortable.

Joann is a wonderful knowledgeable piano instructor. I stared my son in weekly piano lessons with Joann at age 6, last year. I was very impressed with her ability to teach the basics in a way he understood and connected to. He likes and respects her and is eager to learn. Joann is very relaxed, patient, and positive with him. I am very pleased! I would definitely recommend her to other potential students, young or old.

Sonly is dance artist. She is dedicated to her students in the art of dancing. She patiently works with students in improving all facet of dancing. One of her many techniques is to teach her students to use every part of their body to express themselves in the art of dancing. She taught me how to listen to the music. From there I had to learn to move to the music. She identifies each students weakness. She transforms the weakness into strengths. If anyone wish to learn to dance, they should consider Sonly as a opportunity to becoming a dancer.

I am a Bay Area based dance instructor, singer, performer, model, and health nut who is hoping to give you the tools to burn up the floor with some spicy, hot moves! I grew up with the flavor of Latin music and dance surrounding me, and I want to help you find your own personal flare on the dance floor. I will help you build your strength as a dancer, showing you important body isolations and stretching techniques, while also helping you understand the fundamentals to partner-work and personal styling shines needed to social dance. More importantly, I will help you understand the rhythmic structure in Latin music, so you can feel the music as you dance. My clients range from one-on-one private lessons, partner lessons, and group lessons. I teach styles from salsa to bachata, merengue, kizomba, etc.

About

Dancing is a passion of mine. I do hip hop dancing and i choreograph my own pieces. I would love to be your teacher and after first class if you dont like what i do you are guaranteed that that specific class will be free. We would be working on different aspects of hip hop and learning some of my choreography and doing freestyle to boost up your confidence in doing your own thing. This experience would be a learning process for me as much as it would be for you.
