Chef AJ is a truly talented rare find! I hired her to host a birthday dinner for a party of six. From the moment I spoke to her to the day she cooked for us, she was thoughtful, creative, and an absolute joy to work with. She was hand's on from day one. She engaged me in a collaborative process, flexible and willing to explore my ideas. I explained to her the flavors and atmosphere I wanted to create, and she handled the rest. HOLY MOLY CAN SHE COOK! My guest and I were in heaven. Every other word at the table consisted of compliments to the chef. Every meal was packed with flavor, even and balanced and unreplicated by any of my previous experiences. Her timing was impeccable! It was like magic! Like she knew when we would be done and when we were ready for the next course! I could go on, but I will end by saying this: I will definitely hire her again!

Chef AJ was absolutely incredible. She is very professional and very accommodating. She cooked a fantastic surprise dinner for my wife for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I would definitely use her services again.

From initial coordination to execution, my experience with AJ was absolutely amazing. She was always prompt with replies and remained communicative throughout the entire process. Even when I was unsure of what I wanted at times, AJ has a keen knack of knowing just what it is you're looking for and always provided the best recommendations. Not to mention she made herself available on Christmas day and it was extremely difficult to find private Chefs willing to work on that day. But AJ came through energized and ready to ensure that my surprise dinner for my husband was special. She helped me with the set up and tear down of my personal décor (she didn't have to do that) and provided the best meal of steak, mac n cheese and creamy spinach, all of which was soooo good! So good I didn't take time to snap pictures because we were too busy enjoying it :D. Honorable mention was certainly the bread pudding and sauce; if you get the chance order it for your dessert! Overall I'm extremely impressed with AJ's professionalism, her service, and amazing preparation of our delicious meal. I will not hesitate to book her again!

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to get to know my clients on a personal level in order to provide the best experience. The first thing I always do is acknowledge any allergies or dietary restrictions. Next I like to find out what types of food the guests absolutely love and absolutely do not like, as well as what they grew up eating, so that I can create a menu based on these foods. Lastly I like to know if there is or isn’t a budget that we’re working with so I can give my client the best experience while accommodating their price range.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I grew up in the kitchen, learning aged old recipes and receiving secret ingredients and tips from home cooks whom I hold dearest to my heart. I studied Culinary Art in the Bay Area and decided to start my own business once I graduated.
