- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For catering events the menu, staff and rentals can vary depending on the want and size of the event. I create quotes for clients based on what they desire for their event. If the client is happy with the quote I will need a 50% deposit to hold the event. The other 50% will be paid on the day of the catered event. My personal chef service rate is $70 per hour. This does not include the price of the food and raw products. Hands on Culinary classes are $100 per person. This does not include the price of the food and raw products. My consultation rate is $150 per hour. This includes kitchen design and layout, menu development, service and menu elevation and other managerial services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will build a custom menus based upon the want of the client. I will reach out to the client personally and discuss needs for the event, whether it is catering, personal chef services or cooking classes. I will then present a rate or cost for the event for the client to preview. Once the client accepts the terms and price then the event will move forward and be locked in on my calendar.
