FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most projects are billed hourly. After learning more about the scope of the project, I’m usually able to provide an estimated range of hours so clients have a sense of the overall investment before we begin. For larger projects that involve multiple sessions or team members, I’m also happy to discuss a project-based estimate once we’ve had a chance to review the space together.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually start with a quick conversation by phone or text to learn about the project and what the client is hoping to change in their space. From there, we either schedule an organizing session or, for larger projects, I may recommend a short in-person consultation to walk through the space and discuss goals before we get started. During our sessions we typically start by clearing out the space so we can see everything we’re working with. Items are then grouped into categories, which makes it easier to evaluate what should stay, be donated, or stored elsewhere. For larger projects, my team may begin this sorting process ahead of time so the client can focus only on the decisions that truly require their input. We create clear groupings and an “ask client” pile for anything that needs clarification. Once decisions are made, we design simple systems to contain and store the remaining items in a way that makes the space easier to use and maintain. My goal is always to make the process as efficient and painless as possible, especially for busy clients, by only involving them in the decisions that matter most. If a client prefers to be more involved in the process, they’re always welcome to work alongside us and participate in each step. Some people enjoy being hands-on while others prefer to step away and check in periodically as we work through the space. We’re happy to work with you either way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have three years of professional experience organizing homes, including one year training with NEAT Method, a luxury home organizing company and one of the leading organizations in the industry. Through my work, I’ve organized a wide range of spaces in homes of many sizes, from compact studio apartments to 10,000-square-foot residences.
