Late last year, I finally decided to start taking my health more seriously and came up with a long term plan, including signing up with a personal trainer at the beginning of 2020, which is when I met Chris. It turned out Chris wasn't just a personal trainer, he was *the boss* of all the trainers for the chain of gyms I was a member of, and for good reason! Chris truly has a passion for helping people get the most of out their workouts and achieve their goals, and the man has REALLY done his homework to make sure he can help as many people as possible. Got a sports injury? Chris can help. Bad back (like me)? He's got you. Bio-mechanical dysfunction? No worries, he'll use a bunch of big words that you might not understand unless you have a medical degree, then the two of you will get to work. Is there a global pandemic keeping you down? I used that as an excuse for about 2 months, but then Chris got in touch and asked if I was ready to get off my ass and start working out again, and I said HELL YES! We've been making it work ever since. I've been working out with Chris for a total of ~6 months, I've lost over 25 lbs, I'm in the best shape I've been in since college (I'm 41 y/o now), and I even found an amazing and beautiful girlfriend...in the middle of COVID!!! All this being said, Chris did not just wave a magical wand and make it all happen. It took a lot of hard work on my part, but without Chris' expert guidance and motivation, I would not have gotten here on my own. So, my most sincere thanks go out to Chris, and I look forward to our continued partnership (and to someday having six-pack abs in the not-too-distant future).

Chris comes with years of industry experience and understands how to adjust training to suit each person. He understands past injuries, overall personal health, posture and individual movement all play a big part in training. He provides 100% attention to the client and on perfecting the movements before adding weight to ensure safety is put as the priority. He’s a great coach and trainer who holds me accountable for my successes and occasional setbacks in living a healthy life all while encouraging me to keep trying my best. Chris has worked with me to find a meal plan that I can stick to and that will work well with my workout plan and day to day life activities.

Chris is amazing. He knows more about physical fitness, body dynamics, injuries, diet and most any question you would have of a trainer. If you need someone who is experienced and knows their stuff, then talk to Chris.

Been training with Chris for 7 years. He has highly specialized trainer skills and advanced certifications. Of the trainers I worked with prior Chris has really pushed my ability and I haven’t trained with anyone else since. He has always been able to develop programming that suit my fitness goals, as they have changed over the years. He never has done anything that has injured me and is a great listener. He adjusts my programming regularly so it’s always fun and fresh.

I asked around to find a trainer who had experience working with clients that have neurological conditions like mine (Multiple Sclerosis) and several people pointed me to Chris. And I’m so glad they did!! I was just starting to recover from a flare and I was barely walking. I hadn’t been in a gym in ten years in spite of the fact that I was an athlete in my teens and twenties. (I’m now 47) Chris spent at least two hours with me just downloading information about my condition, what was medically being recommended (so he could work in a complementary manner), my diet, my way of life. He came back with a realistic plan that made sense for me. We worked together for almost ten months until COVID shut it down. But in that time, I built strength, balance and confidence in a way I hadn’t thought would ever be possible again. I am able to walk, run, even do stairs - without pain and without pain meds. It wasn’t easy, but Chris kept me motivated and stood by me. My quality of life now, even during shutdown, is better than ever. Side benefit: I lost weight and firmed up too. Chris is funny, blunt, patient and caring. I’ve met other clients that have worked with him for years. He’s in it for the long term and will customize a plan for you based on your goals - whether it’s shaking off the COVID-19 lockdown lbs, getting into competitive Olympic weight lifting shape (yeah, he actually does that) OR just building up strength to walk again after an MS flare.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $75 per one-hour session in person and $60 per one-hour session remotely and typically charge weekly or monthly (taking into account training frequency) instead of requiring that clients purchase large packages up front. I prefer this method as it requires less of an initial investment on the part of the client and allows them to have more immediate control of when they cease or pause their training and helps mitigate necessity for refunds. However if a client prefers to purchase a package instead this is possible and a discount will be offered depending on how many sessions are purchased at once.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?New clients get a complimentary consultation where we will accomplish the following: - Initial intake to uncover injury history, goals of the training program and workout/athletic history. - Exercise testing to include evaluation of cardiovascular capacity, balance, core/pillar functioning, movement quality and postural analysis to effectively create individualized strategies to correct or augment any deficiencies. - Anthropometric Testing/Body Composition Testing to include a DEXA scan and RMR (resting metabolic rate test) to accurately understand baseline biometrics, provide measures of progress and to provide data for nutritional programming. - Recommendation based on data and desired goals of how long the initial training program should be and what it should entail.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In addition to having a BS in Exercise Physiology I have a broad selection of certifications and coursework that allow me to connect with each individuals needs in a highly efficient manner to consistently produce any rationally desirable results. To name a few: - NASM CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) - NASM PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist) - NASM MMACS (MMA Conditioning Specialist) - EXOS XFS (Fitness Specialist) - EXOS XPS (Performance Specialist) - PRI (Postural Restoration Institute) Myokinematic Restoration - PRI Pelvic Restoration - Gray Institute 3DMAPS (3D Movement and Performance Systems) - Gray Institute CAFS (Certificate in Applied Functional Science) - Wim Hoff 10-week Breathing course
