Introduction: I've been a personal trainer for 17 years now and have a good idea of what it takes to get clients results. I started my career in Los Angles training athletes, actors and acting industry professionals at a private gym. I've been here in San Francisco for the last 11 years doing in home personal training and I will help you achieve your goals quickly, efficiently and safely through strength training. Client safety is paramount in my approach. I focus on injury prevention through flexibility and balance training improvements in overall agility. I am comfortable with all levels of fitness I've trained clients from in their nineties to children, professional athletes to professional couch potatoes and everything in between I can get you where you want to be. I think what I enjoy most about what I do is improve quality of life. A perfect example, last year I had a client (in his late sixties) tell me after a ski trip how he was able to ski all day into early evening and wake up the next morning without soreness. Then have plenty in the tank for the day of skiing. When in previous years he'd ski and have to rest half way down a run. He'd make it till just afternoon then have to head for the lodge. As he tells me this his eyes begin to well because he is realizing that he's going to have many more years of skiing with his children. He credited me for this pricless gift, and the honor I feel for helping someone have achieve something priceless is extremely rewarding.

Adam has been our trainer,my wife and me, for two years now. He's been skillfull and inspirational from the beginning. Put simply, at 66 I have gained a level of conditioning far and above what I would have done solo! I was sore and tired for a while, then started shedding fat and building muscle. If you are willing to work, rest and eat well he's your guy! Tired For

Adam has been working with us in our home a couple of mornings a week for the past 3 years. He's great. He works us hard through various strength exercises and interval workouts. He's always finding new ways to keep it fresh. And he's also a really nice guy - someone we don't mind hanging out with at 6 am!

I worked out with Adam Strand for a year, twice a week. That was a year when my body has changed for better. Before I start working out with Adam, I used to go to the gym and exercise but I didn’t see much improvement and didn’t know what I was doing wrong. The works out were always challenging but fun at the same time. We train every Tuesday and Thursday at 6am. It was hard to wake but the training was always a great energy kick for the entire day. After each session I felt the immediate results. I felt my entire body, each muscle and the soreness at the mornings were probably the best pain I could feel. Adam is not only a great personal trainer but he’s also friendly, intelligent and very professional with what he does. He always pushed me to the maximum of my limit and encouraged me to do more even when I didn’t believe I could. He introduced me to the weight lifting training. I’ve never thought I’m going to like it so much. I still continue the training by myself but I if Adam didn’t show me how to use the weight in the right way I would have never even thought about starting it. He thought me how to enjoy the exercise and I think that’s the key to reach out for goals.
