Introduction: Music is all about personal expression. I emphasize musicality in all levels of performance, and cater my teaching to meet the needs and goals of my students. I have over 10 years experience as a cello and piano instructor, and significant professional experience as a music theory tutor. I have performed, competed, and studied across the world, but I am currently pursuing two masters degrees at San Francisco Conservatory (cello performance and music composition). Feel free to ask questions about lessons, methods, or about my qualifications.

My kids have been taking from C. Evans for almost three years. Not only has their musicianship improved, so has their confidence! He has been able to directly improve my kid’s musical experiences and helped them with auditions for school amongst other things. He encourages them while providing high class teaching. My kid’s never leave their lessons discouraged or bored but always ready to learn more music and excited for the next lesson. He is very communicative and will always work with your schedule and inevitable conflicts. I HIGHLY recommend him for piano/cello/music theory lessons.

Clark is an amazing teacher and person! He was able to connect with my daughter and get her really excited about cello, music, and practicing. She always looked forward to her lessons and was so happy with a positive attitude after every lesson. My kids have taken music lessons from a lot of different teachers so I know this isn’t always the case. He has been our favorite. He’s very talented and a great person. San Fransisco is lucky to have him. We miss him in Utah.

Clark is one of the best teachers that I have ever worked with. He is a brilliant musician himself and works very hard to pass that knowledge on to his students. He has helped me gain confidence in my own musical ability and I have been able to play and perform much better than I ever thought I could. During lessons, he is patient with me and is able to explain concepts in different ways to make sure I understand them the best way that I can. He made the transition from in person to virtual lessons seamlessly and has been able to adapt to that teaching style very well. I would highly recommend Clark for all of your musical needs.

Clark is an outstanding person, artist, and teacher. I owe much of my growth as a musician to his mentoring. His understanding of music is profound and well rounded and his teaching reflects that. He teaches difficult concepts with clarity and stays attentive of my learning pace. I’ve always felt like I could be honest with him when I have questions. In addition, I’ve had the privilege to attend some of Clark’s performances. Whether it’s in a group or solo, Clark performs with his whole heart and strives for excellence. I cannot give a higher recommendation! Thank you, Clark!
