FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge both for the studio time and engineering time, if needed. So there can be a bunch of options. Studio A is generally only booked by the day. With an Engineer is $500/day -- a day is considered 10 hours including setup, cleanup and reasonable meal breaks. Studio C books hourly or in blocks of time. With an engineer it's $60/ hour.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My highschool had a 24 track recording studio. There were two classes: Pop Rock performance, where you got to play in a band with friends and Engineering where you recorded the bands. I took as many classes in there as they'd let me and have been working on the technical side of audio ever since.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Tracking :: Our live room, mic selection, Neve console and choice of 2" tape or Pro Tools combine to make capturing great sound easy. Mixing :: Mix in the box using our 24 fader D-Command, or roll it out of the way and work entirely analog on the console. Overdubs & Editing :: Studio C is our smaller overdub and editing room which can save you money on jobs that don't require the full arsenal of gear or large amounts of space. We also do Voice Over recording for video spots, tape transfers, mixing to picture, music production and video shoots. Our staff of house engineers mean we can match you with someone who loves your style of music.
