Maestra Rubie is an amazing teacher. She pushes me to a level I haven’t been pushed to before, and doesn’t let me get away with taking it easy. After each workout, I’m sweating head to toe, feeling very confident about what I had just accomplished and learned. I love the passion she brings, the energy, and the diversity of movement from the various types of martial arts she is knowledgeable in. I’m fortunate to have found her!

I was 13 when I began Muay Thai workouts @ Navarro's on Mission at Cortland. I'm turning 40 this year, and all the love, sense of family and community, muscles, and confidence that I received from Grand Master Rubie and Professor Carlos live with me today. I have had numerous moments in my life when I've used that inner strength they instilled in me to push through and face challenges with determination. I have a lifelong relationship of love and trust with the Navarro family. Blessings to all!
