In order to prepare for the GRE I asked John to help me three weeks before the test. With his help I was able to achieve some of my highest scores in both practice and when I actually took the test. If you need help with the GRE I would highly recommend asking John for help as he is a great tutor.

John helped me review my practice tests and gave me tips on how to improve my verbal score. Thanks for the help and the positive attitude!

Every session was John Bertinetti happened right on time, and he was very flexible to work with your schedule. No session was timed; rather, he wanted to spend as much time as needed in each session to ensure that you understood each concept and problem well.

If you're looking for an LSAT tutor he is the man! So far working with John has been a very pleasant experience. We met on a weekly basis before taking the LSAT (for about a month). His insight on the material is outstanding and I saw my practice test scores bump from a 153 to a high of 168 by the end of the four weeks. On the week leading up to the September 2019 test I was scoring consistently above a 160 and definitely carried out some of that confidence on test day. He's available during the week for questions and responds quickly. I advise him to anyone looking to improve their score or build up an understanding of what kind of answer fits each type of question. I'm really glad I had the opportunity to meet him, excellent guy outside of the "LSAT lens" too, I can tell he's dedicated to his students.

John is an excellent tutor. If you’ve stopped here to read the reviews because you’re nervous about the quality of tutor you’ll have… look no further and read on. For starters I was only seeking IN PERSON tutoring and was very hesitant to try online because I wasn’t sure if I’d get the full experience. After our first session I felt immediate relief at the ease of working together online. John uses a white board link and you can opt to video chat or just use audio while you examine the material together. John is extremely personable and truly provides so much care and patience for his students. Tutoring with John raised my LSAT score 6 points! Honestly if I hadn’t been faced with so many personal barriers (respiratory infection/wisdom teeth removal/purchasing a new car/concussion) throughout the duration of my test preparation I'm confident that I would have scored even better. John was extremely flexible and understanding each time I had something come up. My score was only “capped” because I had to limit the time I put into my studies. If I had more time for studying with John I would have definitely been in an even better spot. I studied with John bi-weekly for three months. I highly recommend doing once or even twice a week if you can, for the best results. Every single session we had I learned a great deal. John is very thorough and likes to get to the root of the issue so that you truly understand the material. If you’ve taken the LSAT before you might be nervous that there’s material on the test that’s simply too complicated to figure out and think that you can’t do it. I FELT THAT WAY! But I had several “ah-ha” moments while studying with John that really helped me to uncover some of the issues I was having while problem solving. I can say with a 100% confidence that he enjoys what he does and he’s not just trying to make a buck off of you. John was almost too kind with his pricing per hour. If I had more money to contribute it would have been a no brainer to do so, he deserves it. I am forever grateful about how understanding he was while I had some financial barriers thrown at me. I can’t say it enough, CHOOSE JOHN, and you won’t regret it!

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $120 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually my first step is to go over work the student has already done to try to diagnose problem areas. Once we identify weaknesses, we devote sessions to them--reviewing concepts, doing practice problems together, etc. I have a flexible approach, since students' needs vary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have received top scores on all the exams I tutor (770 GMAT, 170q/167v GRE, 175 LSAT). I am also a Graduate Statistician of the Royal Statistical Society.
