Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Focus and follow through are my strongest suits. My ability to see a project through from concept to completion sets me apart, as well as having an eagle's eye for editing. Writing is my first love. Whatever the content, I derive immense satisfaction from putting the perfect polish on the written page. I also like solving problems. Working as a soup-to-nuts operations manager for small businesses has taught me a lot about finding elegant, thorough solutions.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I've got press releases for independent art and theater projects down to a science. Short copy editing is also a frequent request, from show programs to artist interviews to inquiry letters.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Some old friends were touring their shadow play in California when they suddenly realized they hadn't submitted a press release for their Canadian fringe festival run. The deadline was the next day! After five minutes on the phone, I put together a stunning PR in under two hours. I had the opportunity to see the show when they returned from tour. It was brilliant, and I was so proud to have helped them make their first major performances a success.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Know what stage your project is in, and be honest with yourself about your needs. Ask as many questions as possible, and don't be intimidated by the thought of making changes.
