About
For most women pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is the most physically challenging thing our body will ever go through. In our work together we will begin by creating a foundation of proper alignment and balanced strength. From there we will move on to gaining strength to carry the weight of pregnancy as well as stamina for the birth process. Towards the end of your pregnancy we will begin focusing on preparing for birth including pelvic floor exercises, birthing positions, breathing, and interval training that mimics contraction patterns. After birth our goal is to regain strength to meet the physical demands of parenting. In the early days of recovery, regaining core strength and reconnecting with your body is our primary focus. I am honored to be a part of my clients care team and may recommend that you supplement our work together with pelvic floor physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, etc. so that you feel your best throughout this transformational time in life. I became a ACE certified personal trainer in 2012 and completed my yoga teacher training in 2015. I love helping clients on their unique health and wellness path. I believe that health is a product of regular exercise, good nutrition and mental/emotional well-being. As you work with me, we will help you to identify and change behaviors empowering you to reach your personal health and wellness goals. I completed a certification in Nutrition through Precision Nutrition in 2018 to better help clients learn how food affects our bodies and now work with clients to build healthy nutritional habits to support their goals. In 2022 I became a Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist. I love helping moms feel their best throughout pregnancy and motherhood. When I decided to cancel a yoga gym membership and instead try personal training with Sierra in early 2020, I had no idea just how impactful that choice would be. Working with Sierra was genuinely one of the brightest parts of that rough year and beyond. Over the past year and a half of working together, she has helped keep me grounded and focused on my personal health and fitness goals by providing me with training and guidance specific to me. Her style is the perfect balance of challenging and encouraging. I appreciate her flexibility and the way she can adapt a workout to meet my needs or energy each session. If I have questions or I’m looking for more information about something, she has been wonderful about following up with articles about nutrition or providing additional exercises to try on my own. Since the majority of our sessions have been over FaceTime, I’ve also learned so many techniques and exercises for staying in shape from the comfort of my own home without any special equipment, which is invaluable. I feel very lucky to have found such a supportive trainer and ally in my fitness journey, and would recommend Sierra to anyone .

Have been working with Sierra for years and I really appreciate the range of exercises in her programs and her ability to adapt the training program based on injuries, strained or sore muscles or anything else life throws at you that may affect your workouts. Sierra has a really well-balanced approach to fitness, so it's great knowing that I'm not just getting stronger, but also building my cardio and keeping my flexibility.

I feel very lucky to have found Sierra! She is amazing at meeting you where you are—I started training with her after a long pandemic of becoming really sedentary and she was great at identifying initial focus areas and working on a plan to get more active. She is kind and motivating and easy to get on with. Would 100% recommend her!
