For most women pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is the most physically challenging thing our body will ever go through. In our work together we will begin by creating a foundation of proper alignment and balanced strength. From there we will move on to gaining strength to carry the weight of pregnancy as well as stamina for the birth process. Towards the end of your pregnancy we will begin focusing on preparing for birth including pelvic floor exercises, birthing positions, breathing, and interval training that mimics contraction patterns. After birth our goal is to regain strength to meet the physical demands of parenting. In the early days of recovery, regaining core strength and reconnecting with your body is our primary focus. I am honored to be a part of my clients care team and may recommend that you supplement our work together with pelvic floor physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, etc. so that you feel your best throughout this transformational time in life.
I became a ACE certified personal trainer in 2012 and completed my yoga teacher training in 2015. I love helping clients on their unique health and wellness path. I believe that health is a product of regular exercise, good nutrition and mental/emotional well-being. As you work with me, we will help you to identify and change behaviors empowering you to reach your personal health and wellness goals. I completed a certification in Nutrition through Precision Nutrition in 2018 to better help clients learn how food affects our bodies and now work with clients to build healthy nutritional habits to support their goals. In 2022 I became a Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist. I love helping moms feel their best throughout pregnancy and motherhood.
