Dinner with Sat was the definitely the highlight of our girls weekend/bachelorette in Sonoma!! The food was delicious, he was very easy and flexible to work with and helped organize the perfect menu. Throughout the 3 course meal, he went at our pace and did an amazing job returning the kitchen back to a spotless condition. We had him enter the house we rented a few hours before we got back from wine tasting and he was able to take care of all the prep/cooking well before the time we wanted to start eating. After a full day of wine tasting, having a meal cooked in our house was the perfect treat b/c no one wanted to get dressed or go out. We had a group of 8 girls (1 gluten free, 1 who didn't eat red meat, 1 pescatarian) and well as 7 self-proclaimed foodies and he was able to accommodate and wow us all! I can't stress how much we loved the food and entire experience - would definitely dine with him again if we return to the area.
Everything was amazing! Loved having Graham in our home cooking and helping us entertain friends. Food was delicious and we were so happy to have a clean kitchen at the end of the night. The perfect way to host and be able to enjoy at the same time.
This was our first time having a chef for a house party with ~15 guests, and I highly recommend Graceful Kitchen! Chef Grace was able to accommodate our request for vegetarian food, and presented us with several good choices. She was there ahead of time, and the food, esp. the pasta, received good feedback from everyone that attended. I will use Graceful Kitchen again for future events.
Chef James Reid quickly impressed me with his enthusiasm, communication skills and professionalism during one of his cooking classes on Sauce Making 101. I had the pleasure of attending this three hour class where he demonstrated and evaluated several basic sauces, with precision and perfection! Of particular value to me was Chef Reids use of stocks to make simple but delicious sauces and the multitude ways I can use in various, savory dishes! You'll learn a lot from Chef Reid! I heartily endorse him for any teaching role and look forward to taking another class soon!
The Dishes are so flavorful and delicately put together. I can tell a lot of time goes into preparing the dishes. I think what I like most is that all the ingredients are top shelf, and its prepared food that I can not get anywhere else at this level of quality. It's above restraunt standards. Especially impressed by the fact that they can hit the mark on so many dietary specific needs and still make it taste amazing! Get the Asian pear muffins! Or any of her famous baked goods! They will not disappoint.
Sophie was amazing! She's the real deal in terms of cooking, explaining things and making things simple. I'm so glad I hired her. I'll definitely hire her again!
We had Anja come over and do a cooking class for our company employees and significant others. She helped craft an amazing menu, wine pairings and tasty treats. Everything went off without a hitch and people couldn't stop raving about how much they enjoyed her instruction. While the food was great, it was her personality and pleasant spirit that really made this an awesome experience. Couldn't recommend her more highly.
Elyse is incredible! I hired her to cater my sister's baby shower and she did such an amazing job that I went on to hire her as my personal chef. I am currently finishing my doctorate degree and at the time I had classes from 8:00AM-9:00PM which made it difficult for me to make healthy meals. Every week Elyse would deliver a basket filled with delicious home-cooked meals that were catered to my personal tastes. She was always open to suggestions and requests, and found creative ways to make certain dishes vegetarian for me. When I was feeling under the weather, she made me an amazing miso soup and other dishes to help me feel better. I was so sad when she left the Bay Area to go to the East Coast; her cooking was the highlight of my week. As a caterer, she is very professional. She will work closely with you to create a menu that will suit the occasion perfectly. She really takes care of everything to make sure you can relax and indulge in a fantastic meal. Every guest at my sister's shower raved about the food and all wanted to hire her for their next event.
We absolutely loved our french cooking lesson with Mashav! She created a custom menu for the class based on our suggestions and fresh local ingredients. She walked us through each step carefully and answered all of our questions. The final result -- 4 made-from-scratch french dishes -- was phenomenal. To top it all off, Mashav was very organized and easy to plan the class with.
So glad we found Dan's company on this website. From the first point of contact he was completely on top of everything. At first we wanted to have a cooking class, but after talking with him about the other types of experiences he could offer, we went with a demonstration/dinner party which was so much better than an actual class. We went with the Cotogna inspired menu and got to learn just as much, while spending time with our friends drinking wine. Perfect night!
Norwood created an awesome themed birthday dinner for 13 people at our place. The entire process was smooth, creative and right on target...we ended up with a 'Vegetarian Asian Street Food Tapas' theme complete with a Thai Boxer cocktail. He was professional, clean and a pleasure to work with together. I'd highly recommend him for any home event! Our guests haven't stopped sending their compliments on an amazing evening...
Tessa is an amazing culinary instructor and chef! My boyfriend and I took her Thanksgiving Basics class and loved it. The class was informative and fun, with the perfect balance of hands-on cooking and demonstrations. We got to take home some delicious recipes handcrafted by Tessa - which I will definitely using for Thanksgivings to come!
I have now taken two Indian cooking classes from Meenu Bhasin. In the first cooking class she made chicken korma, lentils and a yogurt side dish. These dishes were about a medium level of difficulty to prepare. Meenu was very thorough in explaining and showing each step of the cooking process. She also included a list of all the ingredients and spices, and where to purchase them. In the second class we made chicken tikka masala, saag paneer and rice with vegetables. Meenu is very good at teaching the preparation and cooking process of each dish. She goes over the ingredients and the entire process very carefully. She also leaves plenty of time for questions and discussion. I really enjoyed taking her classes and learned a lot about Indian cooking. I strongly recommend her as a cooking teacher/chef.
I had one of the best cooking experience with Chef Joe. The class was so well designed and the pace was just perfect for anyone with all sorts of cooking levels. Chef Joe was so knowledgable, patient, and he was also very funny. My boyfriend and I walked away leaning a tons!
Anita is knowledgeable and explains clearly any cooking steps. Its a pleasure to cook as she teaches and one gains a secure understanding of the recipe since she allows for the student their own thinking space and doesn't "hold your hand" too much.
I did a 3-hour cooking class with Alejandra. She is fantastic! She is an excellent teacher, both with respect to general culinary techniques and to details of specific recipes. Her food is fresh, tasty, and quite simple to prepare. She establishes a friendly, easy-going atmosphere in the class, and has a great sense of humor. She is superbly trained in classical French cuisine but also has experience in Thai and Ecuadorian foods. Yes, she went above and beyond what I expected. What could have been improved? Well, nothing! Great teacher - the most hands-on classes in SF. Everything is delicious plus he is very approachable and eager to share all his tips and tricks of the trade (where to shop for certain ingredients and equipment, etc).
