The caulking job went very well after a discussion on what types of caulking would work. The job was done very professionally and resulted in a nice finished product!
Installed a indoor hanging chair, opened ceiling drywall, attached to ceiling joist, repaired drywall. Kids love their new chair, everyone wants a hanging chair now. Great work, fast, clean, efficient, I am very happy with result.
Ricardo filled the large hole in my drywall that I hired him for, and seeing that there was a smaller one nearby...he filled in that one, too, without my asking - what a pleasant surprise!
Dinh and his associate were through, careful and adaptable. He seems knowledgeable in electrics, plumbing and contracting.
Bogdan was great! He replied right away for a same day handyman need, was on time, fast and efficient! His rate was totally reasonable and we will definitely be requesting him for future handy man needs
Assembled a wooden swing and playset in our backyard. Tomas arrived on time and worked all day to complete the job. He literally worked all day to finish the job. The playset had multiple pieces and parts and would have taken me weeks to complete. I would recommend Top Cat Home Repairs for this type of job and based on his work ethic I assume any type of job.
Barry did a great job helping us prep for selling our condo: paint, grout, changing fixtures, and was great with the time-frame!
David was very pleasant and completed the new toilet installation on time. He made extra time in his busy schedule to accommodate my availability. I will definitely use his expertise for other future plumbing projects in my Cambrian Park home.
One of the first things Gleo told me was that he had a regular job and would be able to work on weekends. He did two jobs for me at a rental. One was installing a medicine cabinet and interior lock. He did not complete repair of drywall repair by the cabinet. The other job was installation of a security door. He installed the medicine cabinet, lock and security door in a good manner. He did not complete an addition to the bottom of the security door. He was pleasant, on time, cleaned up well, and cooperative but for the incomplete items. I wanted him to paint a bath in S.F. at another rental but, he did not give me an estimate (perhaps too far away). Manelis Properties
Kelly was right on time and did a great job replacing my kitchen faucet. He needed a special tool to get the job done and was quick to get that tool and finish the job. Thank you Kelly!
Nick did a good job in fixing the shower faucet. He came in with in 30 minutes of posting the project on thumbtack. He finished the work in less than 20 minutes. I would highly recommend Nick for your plumbing services, great value, quick and highly experienced.
Charles is very nice and professional: 1) On Friday I told him I was picking up my toilet on Saturday, asked him if he could install it on Sunday. And he did! Very much appreciated his super quick response! Especially knowing he is in the middle of a bigger job. 2) Though there were some unexpected issues (the existing floor flange and wall valve), he was trying and trying and then made it work, which showed his experience and commitment to get job done. 3) My Toto toilet and Brondell Swash installation job well done. He cleaned up the old glue and caulking, and put new nice caulking, which looks much better than the previous one. 4) His charge is very reasonable and with very good value. I will sure call him in case I have other jobs.
I hired Juan Carlos Mora at Pandas Painting to paint three rooms and a domed ceiling. I was impressed with both Juan Carlos and his foreman, Rodrigo, who came out to give the initial quote and was the primary painter on the job. Their quote was extremely competitive - about 40% lower than the next-best bidder, and about 75% lower than the highest bidder. But I could tell from Rodrigo's comments about the work to be done that the competitive price did not mean low quality, it just meant a very good deal for the work to be done very well. They did the work in a very timely way (starting on Sunday July 5), and completely met my expectations about the quality of the work - all edges were caulked, texture problems on the existing walls were repaired, in some rooms the ceiling was repainted to correct previous patches, and the quality of the paint job and particularly the edge cutting was immaculate. I was so pleased with the job and the very reasonable price that I immediately asked them to do another project: painting another room, and three closet interiors. They also gave a very reasonable bid on this work, did the work in a timely and professional way, and delivered a great result with highest quality. I found both Juan Carlos and Rodrigo to be professional, courteous, and friendly, and very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They followed through on every commitment they made, and it was clear that they really wanted me to be very happy with the job. I will use Pandas Painting again for future projects, and I recommend them very highly. Sincerely, L.W., Milpitas, CA
We had a mix of things to fix: plumbing, a towel rack, some grout work on a bathroom counter, caulking around a sink, etc. Everything was quick, clean, and professional. Will definitely use them in the future for handyman projects of all kinds.
Kirk and his team performed an interior remodel and a new garage build for my house from January 2011 to July 2011. I am satisfied with Kirks work. He is very experienced in new constructions and remodels. He did a very good job for a very good price. Kirk also gave me lots of free extras at his expense. In March 2010 I purchased a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house in Union City, California. The house was in good structural condition, but as a foreclosured unit, it needed some rehabilitation. The original detached garage was in poor condition; it was badly damaged by termites and water. My intent was to have the detached garage demolished and completely rebuilt from the ground up. I planned on doing interior renovation at a later time. I found Kirk from craigslist and he had a link to his Thumbtack page. I called him and he came by to give me an estimate. He said he could give me a really good deal on a new garage and do an interior remodel for a little more than what I would have paid for the garage alone. Kirk was really enthusiastic about doing my job, much more so than the other contractors I had come to give me a bid. Kirk also had very good ideas about modernizing the interior. He suggested a bar counter between my kitchen and dining area. He would also turn my empty utility rooms into a master bedroom and master bathroom. And he wanted to create a laundry machine closet. Kirk had an architect draw the construction plans; his architect did a really nice job. He submitted it to the city as part of the permit application process. I wanted the work done with all permits so everything would be by the book. It would also help should I decide to sell the house at a later date. Kirk started out on the interior work first. He demolished the old kitchen and utility room. He built a new kitchen, a master bedroom, a master bathroom, a laundry machine closet, and a small coat closet by the front door. Kirk said he could also do a couple more things to the interior. He would do the labor for cheap if I paid for the materials. So I agreed and Kirk also replaced my front door, front window, and sliding glass door. He also remodeled my fireplace and fixed a bunch of broken things in my original bathroom. Kirk also completely rewired the house. The original wiring was a dangerous mess, a potential fire hazard. The interior work was completed towards the end of April 2011 and all the work was approved by the city inspector. It looked really nice. I received many compliments from friends and family. I am fairly picky with details and I did notice a couple flaws with fit and finish. I pointed out them out to Kirk. He and his workers did fix them. The garage work started immediately afterwards. The old garage was not worth saving so it was demolished and hauled away. The original foundation was unusable. So Kirk jackhammered it out. Kirk poured a new heavy-duty foundation onto an extensive frame of rebar. He tied it into the house foundation. Then he framed the new oversized 510 square foot garage. Kirk added a storage attic with a pull-down ladder. Kirk also poured a new driveway that looked excellent. Kirk added a 50 amp subpanel to the garage. He also gave me a bunch of free extras like wall insulation. Kirk also used roof panels coated with an aluminum heat reflective substance. The garage was completed by the end of July 2011. It looked really nice. Like the interior, I also received compliments from friends and family. The above garage attic storage with the pull-down ladder was really useful. The garage also passed city inspection. There were also a few issues with fit and finish in the garage. Kirk fixed the problems that I pointed out. While the garage was being built, Kirk also repaired my patio awning and side perimeter fence. He did an excellent job on them. One lady even drove by, stopped, and complimented on how nice the outside looks. I am overall satisfied with Kirks work. He really transformed my house. Since everything was done with permits, I now have a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house on county and city records. If you want to see his work on my house, ask Kirk to give you my phone number.
Met Davis briefly. He was in and out. Completed the task within' one hour. Our shower curtain rods were falling apart and had to drill through the tiles. Davis recommended an alternative. He did some caulking on our sink. He also fixed our solar light outside. The lights were not working and we found out that the power button wasn't on. lol. Thank you
We have had E&J Handyman Services do several jobs for us over the years. We have been so pleased time and time again. Always fair prices and always fantastic work. Several years ago, Jason put in a front patio and step for us. It was meant to be a temporary solution, but he did such a great job we have kept it permanently! We have had him do several interior jobs as well, installing lights, re-caulking our tubs, installing trim work, painting new interior doors, troubleshooting general household maintenance issues (garbage disposal, broken faucet, faulty water heater). He has done quite a bit of interior painting for us too. Always a great job. He left the painted areas cleaner than he found them. He has also helped us with broken sprinklers and found a leaking pipe that could have cost us major money. Not only does he do a great job, but he is genuinely a nice, trustworthy and honest guy which is a refreshing change...when it comes to handymans. We highly recommend him.
