I worked with PAWS4SJACS helping raise funds for the shelter. January 2019 completed training: Pet First Aid & Disaster Response. Experience giving Insulin shots to both cats & dogs. Given medications to a guinea pig & a bird. I respect and care about the well being of all animals. Rest assured, you are hiring a responsible and compassionate pet-sitter. I like the pets of course! For most of my life I have been in the around animals, either the pets of family and friends, or my own animal companions. Currently I am also caring for my ill husband, so I may not respond quickly..

The first time I met Laura I knew she was a huge animal lover. My sheltie, Charlie, is usually reserved around people he doesn't know, but he took to Laura immediately. In fact, he couldn't wait for Laura to take him on his daily walks - whenever she arrived, he would be at the door ready to go. Charlie also liked to go to Laura's house for pet sitting. I felt very comfortable leaving Charlie at Laura's house because the other dogs she was sitting for were always friendly and never aggressive toward Charlie or toward each other. I highly, highly, recommend Laura Tait for all of her pet services - she's a real gem.

Dear Pet Owner, It is with extreme pleasure that I write this letter of reference for Laura Tait of Lauras Pet Services. I met Laura at a local dog park several years ago and since then she has cared for Milo (my Chihuahua/Terrier mix) many times. Laura is extremely responsible, dependable, and trustworthy. She has a true love of animals and is able to relate to each one on an individual basis. She is wonderfully patient and always loving towards Milo, who quickly became very comfortable around her. I feel she truly cares about animals and is genuinely concerned about their well-being. She has always listened intently to my instructions and is always willing to work with me to meet all of Milos needs. In addition to all the basic requirements, I completely trust her to administer medication and follow through with any special pet needs. When it comes to Milos health and well-being, I have complete confidence in her knowledge and judgment. Laura is an excellent communicator. She always does a great job of keeping me informed about how Milo is feeling and behaving. When I call, she often tells me about little, special moments in Milos day. She is very accommodating with changes in schedule, and I am always amazed at how quickly she returns my phone calls. She is very flexible and has never had to cancel on me. The longest time Laura cared for Milo was for 3 weeks this past June-July. The peace of mind we enjoy on our vacations knowing that Milo is being so lovingly cared for is invaluable. We are able to relax and enjoy the vacations we cant take Milo on knowing he is in the best hands. The happiness and contentment I see in Milo when we return is priceless. There is no one I would trust with any pet of mine more than Laura. She is a model caregiver, who truly cares for the welfare of all pets. Milo and I are happy to recommend Laura without qualification. I am confident that any pet owner would be fully satisfied with her services. We have had our dog Cookie in Laura's care on two occasions - once for a day and another time for multiple days. Laura is very amicable to work with, her space is fun for the dogs and we can say Cookie comes back very happy after spending time in her home. We are happy to have found Laura's Pet Services and definitely plan to leave Cookie with her again. Thanks to Laura for our peace of mind about Cookie while we are away.

Dogs: Boarding starts at $35/ night. Daycare at $25. Holiday weekends are higher. LOCATION: Cambrian Park (San Jose) Pup Limo: Starts at $25. All rates depend on frequency, access and location. Cat/Dog/Bird/Bunny Visits: Visits start at $25. All rates depend on frequency, access and location. Rabbits start at $20/night. Birds start at $10.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Dogs: First I ask a couple questions, Then we can set up a Meet n Greet. You can come and meet me, see my home and get a feel for the place. I will ask you questions about your pets. About 30-40 minutes. Dog/Cat/Bird/Visits: Let me know your cross streets.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
